My local Eddie rockets now deliver. Got one on my week off. Oh my god it was amazing.

And not that much more expensive than a McD's either. We get the family deal, 4 of us get Burgers, Fries & a drink for €32 (used to be €30 until a few months ago)

    great value.

    Love their milkshakes too...

Haven't eaten McDonalds in years, even Burger King i haven't gone near in a couple of years. As much as I love a burger i'd prefer Eddie Rocketts myself. Even the twins, as much as they like McD's when given the option they pick Eddie Rocketts every time too.

I used be a fan of Eddie Rockets but my only issue with them is the people I’d normal go for food with like Eddie Rockets however it gives them a very bad tummy ache afterwords.

Was watching today on RTE 1 while in mams today they were discussing the possibility of 24 hours shopping in December, would any of you go into the shops out of hours, I think I would if it was less packed and queues

Things are coming together nicely I just order wrapping paper from Dunnes with some new Neven Maguire kitchen utensils we could do with for the big day

Also ordered my Christmas stamps never did this before but it feels good to be organised hopefully get the cards sent the week of the Toy Show

It's all getting real now :)

I hate crowds and shopping so if the shops were open 24 hours I might get up at 5ish. Just once though and only if I couldn’t get what I needed online.

Ordered the turkey and ham for delivery on the 23rd and just started a Christmas jigsaw so I’m feeling festive today.

I used to do the Christmas shop in the middle of the night. Was a gift as I work any time of the day or night and can be wide awake or finished work in the early hours of the morning. Only would do it for the big Christmas food shop though

I used find Tesco used be fairly badly stocked when they did 24 hour shopping before.
I would go shopping later in the evening without a doubt but I’d hate to go to a town/center and only for a handful of shops to be open.

Our Christmas afternoon tea at the Westbury has just been cancelled.

A nice lady just called to say they will be operating at level 3 even if the government have it lower come December as they will find it difficult to have social distancing etc (under level 2).

Sort of expected it but :(

Sympathies.... got the same call yesterday 😕 8 year tradition broken

We’re going to do afternoon tea at home - yes, all the work will be on me but if I got to see my sisters and my daughters got their Christmas treat then it’ll be worth it

No Eddie Rockets in the West, it was rebranded as Shake Dog. Their burgers are so tasty, the meal deal for two is good value, and you wouldn't feel hungry an hour afterwards :) I haven't been in almost a year, as we live too far from civilisation to justify getting a takeaway from there. Maybe one of the evenings on my way home from work, now that I'm craving a smoke stack burger and curry cheese chips :D

Festive socialising will probably be struck off the calender for us. We've the shopping finished so we don't need to go anywhere. We've a whole heap of wedding stuff to do though. We don't know if we should even do them. I'm so sad about the cake tasting being postponed :pac:

My sister did it recently at home - just themselves. It looked amazing. If I ever get to visit her again I'm putting in an order for afternoon tea at her house :D

Has anyone ordered anything Christmas decorations from The Range?

I see so many things I like, but it seems that they’re always out of stock.

Should I look first thing in the morning? :)

I have 2 kids ... 4 and 9. This is November. They keep mentioning Christmas and I say that it is November. Is it TV or what ?

I just got a turkey order form from the butcher here. EU22.56 a kilo, and the smallest is 5kg. More than expected.

I am a burger loon (though never eat the bun, always a lettuce wrap). We have five guys here which is amazing but by far the best burger is Shake Shack. The juiciness.

At home back in the day I would landed in hit up the bacon cheese fries in the local eddies in Terenure, have my no bun burger, they were lovely but I think a bit over cooked. Then meet friends for pints. Nowadays it's gluten free fish and chips as that is what I crave when I am away, a real chipper.

The board is so alive. I am amazoning the pants off the computer today getting little things.

It’s because Christmas (in whatever form we get to celebrate it) is the only definite/half-definite/positive thing we have ahead of us - there’s nothing else to talk about!!

Christmas Ads have started on TV and if they've any exposure to Social media they've most likely seen picutres of Christmas Trees.

Sadly if anyone is looking for a white Christmas there is close to 0% chance of it this year.

All indications are above average tempatures with December to hit 15-16 degrees at some point.

In fact any chance of Frost/Ice/Snow won't be until February 2021.

This is fast becoming the norm for winters now. Is this a blantantly obvious sign of climate change?

I love when it snows but because our infrastructure isn't made for it I'd probably cry if it snowed at Christmas because I wouldn't get to see anyone.
Now,if it could start pelting down from Stephens Day and I'd be happy but I like to see my loved ones on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

I know I would even settle for abit of frost

Snow is nice when you have no where to go and you are home with family and can just enjoy looking out at it or messing around in it

Just once would love a snowy Christmas, this year with sod all happening & very little riving to be done would have been ideal, but meh, no surprise that 2020 was unwilling to cough up even the tiniest of offerings!

I'm willing to try a snow dance if any wants to join me? I figure if enough do it the snow gods will look down and take pity on us and give us something!

Says someone who doesn't have to travel far at Christmas. I'm still deeply scarred (to the point of bursting into tears just thinking of it) by being stuck in Dublin for Christmas 2010. Especially this year I need to be with family.
