    All,

    It never ceases to amaze me how many cars have a name that deals with Astronomy: celestial bodies, constellations, and so on.

    I thought it would be interesting to start a list and see how many cars we can name that relate to Astronomy.

    I will start - Subaru, which is Japanese for wonderful, represents the Pleiades,

    BTW - RCCaufield, I heard the Nova, a great seller in the States, sold very little in Spain or France. The story goes that they never changed the name: No - va, which is kind of like naming your car no - go! Don't know if it is true, but it sounds good.

    Seems like there's a lot of names from the 60's and 70's.

    I guess the Chevy Equinox could qualify as astronomical-ish

    It is taking me all I can do to not Google this thread's topic but rack my brain. I'll let it run a while longer...

    Woke up this morning thinking of the Solara, only to see you get there first :)

    The Toyota Carina ahh "Face palm" my father had one for years.

    The Southern Crosses were made in Coventry.
    They were the sports versions of the Super Nine and later the Gloria.
    Exported mostly to Australia & NZ.

    Can't resist either, gonna start googling later, or with "will power" tomorrow. :)

    J Clarkson took on of these for a test drive on TG. Ariel Atom.

    Real novel and fun idea for a thread Fisma.I have got a great kick from it.This one surely should top the list though?
    It is the real reason the car salesman Bill cullens has paid virgin Galatic to be the first Irishman into space as unfortunatly there are only three of them and NASA carelesly left them on the Moon.If this did not draw People to Cullens Showrooms i don't know what would;
    I present the Lunar ROVER!

    NASA_Apollo_17_Lunar_Roving_Vehicle.jpg

    and the fun of taking it on a test ride!
