Going to Add a second power socket from an existing socket in a garage.

Is 2.5mm Twin Earth suitable or should I go higher?

How much would I expect to pay for a 100m roll, or do they come in 50m?

    Thanks in advance lads.

it depends how far they will be apart. if only a few meters then 2.5 will be ok. most electrical wholesalers will sell it by the meter so unless you really need a full roll just buy what you need.

Thanks for the reply, about 6 meters apart. Would prefer to get the roll, so I will have it in future.

Would it be worth getting the size above 2.5? Is it 4 or 6?

    Thanks again.

What would like to use from this socket? If enough 16A the 2.5 fit (approx 3.5kW).

In this case enough. Look it around in the B and Q they also have.

For surface wiring I would advise using 2.5 NYN-J. It's tougher.
