His current setup while old is still good and there are a few things he can add to bring it more up to date.

For a turntable you could check out the Dual CS440 priced at 299 Euro

The Project Debut Carbon comes with a cover as well, it's just not shown in the pictures. I actually own a Carbon myself and it's an amazing turntable, especially with the 2M red cartridge that comes as standard! But the Dual is amazing too!
