Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Recently booked for 2020 with Villaplus
    Massive selection
They do flights but not sure if from Ireland so I’ll do them separately

I’ve used Airbnb aswell with no issues

We’ve done a few private apartment rentals, would be little bit wary of Airbnb for a family holiday in high season. Have heard a few cases where person renting out cancels or changes details close to travel dates and then in high season it can be hard to find somewhere else.
When we’ve done it we try find a local estate agent, all the main resorts have at least a few. Then you also have someone in the area if there’s any issues while you’re there.

We have used Airbnb in 6 different Countries abroad and also in Ireland. No problems except for 1 place. We had 1 house (out of 14) which had an issue with cleanliness but we were only there for 2 nights at the end of the holiday and we did not eat there. Apart from that no issues.

Only book places with several reviews, read the rules, inspect photos carefully and filter until you get exactly what you are after.
Some people say only book Superhosts but one of our favourite places (stayed twice already and will return) is not a Superhost.

Obviously there is a risk but we have done well from it.
