Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You may not have the luxury of choice. In my local (D.18) practice, I heard the receptionist on the phone to someone a few months ago and she was telling the caller that they're not taking on new patients.

As the Govt. expands free GP care to an ever-expanding cohort of the population, GP practices are feeling the strain. Give more and more people something for nothing and consumption increases. Where you have a finite resource to serve that demand, waiting times start to increase and medical practices stop taking on new patients.

Not sure if it is too far out of your way but the Slievemore Clinic in Stillorgan has several female doctors and good opening hours

You are really in for a shock.

What you are asking for is not unreasonable, but it's going to be years before the healthcare system in this country will provide that level of choice. Count yourself lucky if you even get a doctor and don't have to rely on locums and walk in centres.

Derval Mercer in The Gables Medical Centre in Nutgrove. Excellent throughout pregnancy and with children. Cannot recommend her enough. They also have a practise midwife Jane who has been fantastic.
