I’d rather a left hook than a flu jab

    And webbed feet.

Had mine first day it was released, side effect are 5 seconds taken off my 100m breast stroke ~ likely down to the webbed feet.

I'd rather take a hit from a dirty kneedle of suspect heroin from a randomer on the liffey boardwalk than pump any of that rubbish in to my body.

But I'd say your 100 mile flight time has improved somewhat??

Many vaccines use a weakened or dead form of the virus. This may lead to symptoms (not effects), similar to the disease.

A sore arm for a few days beats having tens of millions of people die like in 1918 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu

I got it ... Bit headachy a day after but otherwise grand.

It takes anything from 14 to 21 days for your body to use the information in the vaccine to prepare antibodies though so you aren't invincible for a while and you've got to hope they predicted the right strains.

It's still better than getting the flu or passing it onto someone vulnerable.

I got it at my GPs in previous years and he would have it over and done with so fast and painlessly that you'd have no idea it happened.

Got it in a pharmacy this time! I ended up bleeding! Admittedly, it's a tiny little injection so it was only like 1 drop of blood but still ...

Definitely definitely going to the GP next year. Technique is everything!!

Got the flu twice within the span of a month, so thought "feck it" and got the free flu vaccine shot at work yesterday.
