Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Collared dove

    In the past week I have a collared dove that doesn't seem to leave my garden. I've never had collared doves visit before and this guy seems to spend the full day just chilling on my fence. He pops down the odd time to pick at a bit of seed that the smaller birds knock out of the feeders but apart from that he just sits on the fence. I've seen him fly so I don't think he's injured. And just twice I've seen another collared dove join him for a little while before flying off again.

    Would a legring be very obvious to see? Or does he just like chilling out with all the smaller birds and the availability of food and water?

    My collared doves are much the same. They are not the most active of birds.

    The ones around here just sit and wait, and if they're not around, they'll land on the nearest tree if they hear me calling the chickens. :D They won't move until I've put the food down, then they swoop down as soon as I've turned my back on them. The chickens just roll their eyes at them. :D

    Lazy, yes; stupid, not so much. ;)
