findmypast: Irish marriage and baptism church records no longer open to non-subs?

Went to search for Irish marriage church records on findmypast.ie as normal today to find that when I went to view a record I was directed to a "Select a subscription" screen. Was working as usual (records displayed without sub) until yesterday. Any idea if this is a policy change or a glitch?

Just checked for a baptism and same thing.

A real shame if they've ended free access to these records.

Hmm, surprised at that because they made a free forever promise when they launched.

And here's their blog post about it!

It doesn't work for me either but I didn't go as far as to register a free user account and I have a sub at the moment.

No sub myself at the mo - just logged in and brought to the payment page when I try to view them.

    Hopefully it's just a glitch.

Looks like if you go in through the. Co.uk site, it's freely accessible.

This issue appears to have been resolved - I have access again.
