Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been invited to a wedding at Inish Beg and I'm not sure what to expect in terms of the grounds. I know it won't be 'traditional', but if anyone has been to a wedding there before and can give me an idea of what it's like, I'd really appreciate it. I'm struggling with clothes and shoes because I'm not sure what I need to bring! Is it indoors or outdoors? Weather-dependent? What's the terrain like? Any info would be helpful :)

Bring flats and a rain coat! There will be walking involved on rougher ground, you won't get away with stilettos.

It really depends on the time of year and the weather. It can cater for indoor and outdoor so if it's raining, the ceremony will be in the boathouse. If it's nice out, there's a bit of a walk down to the outdoor ceremony area (which is stunning). The terrain is a pathway through a wooded area. It's similar between the accommodation and the boat house (about a 10 minute walk). The reception (a fixed/permanent marquee) then is a stone throw away from the boat house but it's gravel, and the toilet facilities are opposite the marquee (again, gravel). I've been there in good weather and bad. It's an amazing location but you are a bit exposed to the elements as even if the boathouse is used for the ceremony, there's a 10 minute walk from your cottage to get there (and back at the end of the night).

Was there 2 years ago just as the marquee was being built. Got good weather and loved it down there. Beautiful setting, but would be weather dependent I imagine. One of the best weddings I was at.
