Is merrion square park open to the public

And if so, what are the opening hours

Yes its a public park.

Opening times vary with the months.

at a guess i'd reckon 8am to 4.30pm during winter months - stated hours are "Daylight" hours.

Originally it was a private park for residents, but became public in the 60's

Mountjoy Square is public, but a lot of it is taken up by the creche and youth club: https://www.google.ie/maps/@53.3566877,-6.2580979,270m/data=!3m1!1e3

Neither of those give the opening hours so it's perfectly valid question

Its still a valid question now, do a google search for merrion park opening hours results show some dublin city websites with no info on it and 4th result is this thread.

Neither of the links have the information whereas had someone known and posted the information if would be accessible here now.

interestingly, rather than setting out official hours the only referecne I can find is that it is open "7 days a week during daylight"

Merrion square have a notice up stating that is closes 30 minutes before dark, but that only appeared late last year.

Is merrion square park open to the public
