Hi all,
I was on udemy dot com earlier and got a pop up with the code YOU75 for 75% off any course.
I used it for a few IT courses and saved a load.
As most of the courses are lifetime access I think it is a great offer.
Note, I think this code ends very soon.

Udemy do very good courses. Did one before (when they also had a deal going like this)

But I have been thinking about the whole thing. Udemy is more so to broaden your skills than to hold weight on your cv, right?
I ask because would an employer vaule it or see it as "just another online course" even tho Udemy are quite good.

Was wondering about this myself.Want to start an online course in the next few months and would prefer if it was recognised by a college or offered a certificate/diploma at the end.Berklee in the US do them for crazy money and I'd say there's a few others but I haven't come across one yet that's affordable and gives a qualification worth sticking on a cv.

Signed up for a free HTML 5 course, and it gave me a list of other free courses. Will have a proper root around the website when my exams are finished.

Hard to beat the Chris Bryant courses in my opinion
His CCNA bootcamp is very very comprehensive.
If you use the code BULLDOG60 you get it for 45 usd, an absolute steal I think.

The infinite skills stuff is also v good, though I dont have any codes/discounts for those.

P.s. To those asking about the value of udemy certifications - I dont think they have any value in themselves. The courses are typically used to help you pass the vendor exams i.e. Cisco, Microsoft.
Having a cert that says you watched some videos online would mean little to any employer.
