In the last (much much delayed beyond a promised 5th day of the month ) LLU update a month ago today , Comreg stated the following which was a lie which itself was a correction of a correction of another lie they originally uttered in May.

This original May lie was that we would geta monthly update on what was happening about LLU negotiations which started ..essentially..in 1999. We heard nothing in June of course .

In that last update, here right at the end, Comreg uttered the last of that series of lies about their 'monthly update' reports.
The next LLU update will therefore issue by the 15th of September.

Needless to say it has not :( , not that I believed Comreg

They also told us that number portability had been sort of fixed in that last update, can you correct that lads because nobody has ported a number to Smart yet ??

The latest update is out. Unacceptable performance, delayed progress, etc. etc.

In Aug, 7% of LLU orders were delivered out of the 2 weeks allowed. Of that 7% .. 43% had to wait OVER 4 weeks!!! (That is assuming the performance metrics refers to working days).

Magnet seem to be the only ones using GLUMP.. why is that?

It's interesting to note that they break the "late" orders down by how late they are, but don't break down the "on time" orders.

How many of the orders that are delivered within the 10-day SLA are delivered on the 8th or 9th day? How many are delivered within 2 days?

As for Magent being the only ones using GLUMP, I think Smart may have bitten the bullet on number retention long ago, and told people that they couldn't have it, and are willing to let Magnet be the guinea pigs for now. Smart doesn't seem to have a shortage of customers willing to change over without retaining their numbers, so, while it will be a pressing issue in the medium term, getting faster and smoother access to the LLU "product" is probably more pressing for them in the short term.

So Comreg instead of whining and expressing disappointment how about some real action?
Use those feeble powers you have and use them to their max and cutout the whining.

Nor have they bothered tellling us that these Magnet GLUMP requests are still 'in the pipeline' and that nobody actually has :

    1. Their old eircom number working
    2. On a Magnet line today
    3. Anywhere in Ireland
    4. 6 weeks after GLUMP (number portability) was 'introduced' .

So can you lot in Comreg scrap status reports 3 and 4 and produce a fact sheet telling us what the reality is today .

Reading between each line in this document one message screams out – eircom is dragging its heels at every juncture – even when it comes to reporting.

When are the ComReg/DCMNR lot going to wake up and do their job and hit eircom in the pocket where it hurts with a nice big recurring fine that would deprive the company of the extra profit the company is making from these tactics to delay competition via LLU/GLUMP and penalise them with an exemplary damages bill on top!

Totally agree with you. Although, if Comreg were to fine Eircom, they would have done it a long time ago. The only way I see fines coming is if the government start leaning on them, hard.

That's why one referred to "ComReg/DCMNR" - the Minister of Fish and Broadband has to do his job too!
