I always thought it was Nicky English in hurling but according to Wikipedia it's a Cork man from 28. Is it Jimmy Keaveney in football from 77?

Did Bomber not break Jimmy's record, that's a goals scored in a game, not sure if its overall top scores

Think Jimmy got 4 against a tough Armagh team and Bomber got 5 against a bunch of nuns soon after.

You could hand pass the ball into the net then

Jimmy Keaveney in the football I believe with 2-6.

Just surpassing the highest ever score from play in a final, Frank Stockwell with 2-5 in 56. What makes Stockwell's total more remarkable again was finals were played over 60 mins back then.

In the modern era its Joyce I think on 10 points. Thought Cooper scored more in one of the noughties finals but the highest recorded is 1-5
