Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well it seems this could be the beginnig of something new and very good for Ireland.
Shame the main Irish broadcasters are not on the new service.
Does anybody know when RTÉ's contract with Sky is up for renewall?
They could well join in the future, if copyright issues could be sorted out, or if a future receiver included some soft cardless encryption, (ShamrockGuard/ Bogaccess 2.5
).
Anything that offers an alternative to $ky and Boxer has to be good.
Does anybody have a Sat4Free receiver and can you take some screenshots of the menus and EPG for inclusion on my new Sat4Free page?

Of avoid confusion - its worth saying that the lower prices you quote assumes that the purchaser doens't need installation because they already has a dish installed. I only mention it in case some someone planning to do a DIY options thinks that 90 euro will get them the SD box, dish and cabling.
For DIY install the best value I've come across is:
2 x real freesat Grundig boxes - €76 each incl p&p (Satellite Superstore)
1 x Raven Zone 2 dish,
1 x quad lnb,
60mt of good quality sat cable (not the air cavity stuff),
8 x f connectors,
cable ties,
cable fixings - all for € 70 incl P&P (from ebay seller in UK)
All of the above arrived within 3 days of ordering, Installed this set up in parents house yesterday. Appox € 220 for freesat in two rooms - that isn't bad going.
And still have 30mt of cable left over for other projects. 0 -

Seems like excellent value for that price but I hate those Raven Dishes very cheaply made...but still cant argue with that price..0 -
