Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Are there any plans nationally comemoration of the death of Michael Collins for 1922. I suppose it will depend who's in goverment!!

    Expect Stephen Collins/Patsy McGarry/John Bruton to launch a campaign to have a memorial to the RIC/Black & Tans placed alongside it.

    It's always a FG supported event, for obvious reasons.

    It'll be interesting the number of duplicated commemorations for the next couple of years; government approved and attended ones and SF black beret club ones.

    Why would anyone commemorate an assassination other than the perpetrators?
    It would be more likely to be an event to mark the centenary of the incident rather than commemorate it.
