Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

normally you could give the benefit of doubt about adding 0s but he has 600 in the description too! he's also selling an amiga for 400 with games, most of which seem to be copied games on blank discs.

Yeah, but it's "in full working condition"!
Not like all those preowned Dreamcasts that may cost €50 but turn out to be made of feta cheese and filled with bees!

    Same guy again!
Megadrive must be made of gold
Now, I can appreciate the effort of doing the 50/60hz mod and including an RGB cable, but €140?

The term "bogger" isn't needed either imo. (Nothing to do with my location seeing as I'm a dub.)

I agree. We are better than this people :(

I'm from the country and if I used a derogatory term to describe a Dub I would expect to be slaughtered here(and rightly so).

I'll take my games, and my SC-OCD/SG-OCD/CIB-OCD/NTSC-J-OCD/Sniff-Sniff-OCD with me along with the 6 counties and head home to mugged and/or looted*

Was tempted to do a bit of looting myself as I was over in London for one of the mad nights.
The police had the Apple stores well covered so I just went for beers instead :D

Yeah yeah I get it, but to be fair these consoles were handcrafted by Mario himself and have been played by Han Solo and I removed much of the inner workings and replaced them with diamonds and nude pictures of Scarlett Johansson and they all still work, so I figured they were worth ludicrous prices.

I don't know what came over me to be honest, I was really torn about selling the stuff as I love it so much but have no space for it so find myself playing emulators these days and its all in storage. I invested a lot of time and money and love into the collection and don't wanna see it go but I was being rather foolish with the asking prices to be fair, well spotted guys!

But the bogger remarks are a bit much...

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,390 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

To be honest when selling on adverts your nearly better off doubling the price anyways, because i guarantee you the first offer you get is going to be half your asking. if you where selling a nes for a fiver, you will get some clown trying to get it for 2.50!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 794 ✭✭✭pasta-solo

Yeah I had that in mind alright, have received a few daft offers in the past, so I always post asking prices a bit above what I expect. (a LOT above in this case) Adverts ain't what it used to be.

Prices are more reasonable now... I think...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,565 ✭✭✭✭Tallon

well there are a lot of good games in the lot too, not the usual tat you tend to get with these consoles.

I know where you're coming from ,I've seen the same thing with my ads.Theres one guy (no ..not the man burton) who always puts in stupidly low offers (cant think of his name but he has an ash from evil dead avatar there).Still though theres a sweet spot between " a higher price to start bidding "..and."I want crazy money" :)
    good luck with the ads

    nah http://www.adverts.ie/member/319586 alycat05
I guess if you dont chance your arm , you wont get ,so fair play to him, still though bit of a pain in the arse when the first offer people see is on about a third of the actual value ;)
There's a 'no offers below asking option' in adverts , I'd be tempted to stick up something at a decent price and tick that to see if it works.
