Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Former England midfielder Ray Wilkins is "critically ill" after suffering a cardiac arrest, his wife has told the Daily Mirror.

Jackie Wilkins told the newspaper that the 61-year-old ex-Chelsea, Manchester United and AC Milan player fell in the wake of the cardiac arrest.

He's in hospital, he's had a cardiac arrest and is in intensive care, the newspaper quoted her as saying.

He's not in a good state at all, I'm afraid. He's critically ill.

The cardiac arrest led to a fall which has meant he's had to be put in an induced come. It's very, very bad.

RIP. I'm too young to have seen most of his career but he always came across as a really nice bloke on TV and you can see that in all the lovely tributes from those within the game.

Terrible sad to hear of rays passing, he seemed like a gent far to young to die at 61

    RIP

A real legend of football IMO,and I was lucky enough to see him play for both Chelsea and United

This is a man that captained Chelsea at 18 years of age. A man who mixed with supporters of all the clubs he played for because he was one of them.

Modern footballers would do well to be more like Ray Wilkins, not just for his abilities but also for his good grace and humanity.

RIP Butch. Great servant to Chelsea, on and off the pitch.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Liked Ray Wilkins style as a pundit,he always spoke well and never talked BS like a lot of the pundits from his era of playing tend to do

The only pundit to use the words chaps and guys :D

    RIP Ray

Loved Wilkins' playing days at United, the Chelsea fan in school could never get over that transfer, understandably so.

A great servant to all of his clubs and to the game in general.

    He will be missed.

    Scrap the cap!

Signed for QPR at 33 and was a real influence at a time they were a top half Div 1/prem team. A real midfield general and a gentleman.

He only played for Rangers for a comparatively short time, but he will always be remembered as a gentleman he is also in our hall of fame and regarded as a legend.
