So just to confirm. There's no issues watching the US open from Ireland when you sign up right?

Worked for me. I opened a new account and paid £59.00 with Parcel Wizard address as main.

Anyone got a link to the definitive list of the UK video catalogue, or highlights for you? Tempted by Seinfeld but not much else that isn't on Netflix at a glance.
I don't have a list but tbh, I've been using it for around 2 weeks now and I'm thinking of cancelling netflix.
The amazon original content is fantastic as is the selection.

Right now I'm watching the Americans and the Good Fight, I've watched a few movies (including suffering through dirty dancing) and lined up Goliath and a few others that have had good reviews.
I've been a netflix user for years the content was getting a little stale, for a similar price to my mexiflix 4k subscription I get new prime content and can rejoin netflix if I miss something.
In the meantime I get my toilet roll delivered within two days for free :)  and new movies to watch without any real downside..

What about the list of justwatch.com The lists appear to be different for Ireland and UK. UK link Change uk to ie in the URL for the Irish list. On mobile so someone else might report back that the list is accurate?

It is, but you need to use Revolut and a UK address(Parcel Motel works as does any other with the correct post code.)
When the music app asks for your Card details, create a vitrual card in the Revolut app and use that card number.
It verifies as UK and the app works as normal.

Got this to work with Revolut Visa & PW address. It didnt work with Revolut Mastercard.

I too suffered through Dirty Dancing on amazon, however the suffering I experienced was awful sound quality (like it was being broadcast down a tunnel), it didn't seem to affect many other things I watched, but it didn't bode well for it to be honest.

Did anyone else experience quality issues on prime video? I was watching on a PS4 if that makes a difference

Hi banie01 - you say you "request UK Prime Video from the support team" - are you talking about phoning them to do this? What did you say, sorry I've moved and I am not getting the UK content?

Use live chat. Say you currently have international prime video, have moved and want to update to prime video UK. In the chat they will ask for your UK address.

Prime Student is 6 months free and then £39 for a year. You have to pay £12 for a nus card though.

If you're a real student they'll accept proof you're in an Irish university/college despite their website saying UK only - another page on the site says "UK or Republic of Ireland"

I've watched through all 9 seasons on prime video.

    Into the badlands
    Mr robot
    The Americans
    Preacher
    Vikings
    The night manager
    Man in the high castle
    The looming tower

have all been worth a look but the movie selection is pretty poor imo. The service reminds me a lot of Netflix 4 or 5 years ago.

I've "downloaded" most of those not because I want to pirate stuff but because my connection is so slow I can't stream reliably.

Even if I could stream the main reason for me for paying for Prime is to get stuff in a reasonable time. I wouldn't pay for any of the other stuff they are throwing in with the free 2 day delivery but some of it helps cover the cost of Prime membership.

I've had prime for the past 6 months. I generally post everything to Parcel Motel. It's an extra charge but I get next day delivery for free (and the day for PM to deliver) and the PM cost is offset by the savings on the fast postage side. The video is quite good since I switched to 'living' in the UK too. :)

Just some info for those looking to get changed from Ireland to UK region for prime video. I've just done it, took about 30 seconds. Like others have said, no questions asked, no hassle. I had the PM postcode handy just incase they looked for it but they didn't.

I went to the contact us page.

Excellent. The selection, which not as good as Netflix, is still pretty good, and with the great TV shows, and better range of movies, it's more than worth wit Prime price with the faster delivery.

However, I'm in Canada right now, and damn, I wish we had their Netflix. I have access to The Office (US) now! :D

Just been looking through Prime. Seems ok. Looking to watch Vikings and Mr Robot. Bit annoying how they mix paid content with prime.

Is there anyway of seeing the quality of content. If it's 1080p or 4k etc?

Did you look at justwatch.com link I posted? It seems to list the quality breakdown SD, HD and 4K and what each costs

Might be a stupid question but if I start a trial with Amazon Prime video does that include Prime for delivery too. Pre-ordered a game so next day delivery or deliver on the day would be ideal. In other words if I take that 2.99 per month (for six months) deal will I be able to get quicker delivery?

Haven't looked into Prime too much (hence a possibly dumb question) as I wasn't that impressed with the catalogue but after hearing you can change region might have to give it a go.

    Hi all
Maybe someone here might be able to help me. Just signed up for prime and set it up on my tv. I see Walking Dead, Lucifer and a few others that I thought were UK only. Have they expanded the Irish selection or do I have the UK library now?

I think the best test is to see if you have Batman vs Superman as that's not available to irish prime but is on UK prime.

Yes, AFAIK it's an EU thing, they can no longer geo restrict as the sell to both UK and Ireland, could be wrong.

Anyhow, you do not need a VPN to view full UK content

Yeah kicked in from the 1st April 2018 (no April fool :p). Previously my UK prime video content was reduced as I was 'travelling'. Now I get the lot.

I just signed up now and got the location changed to the UK via chat.

Is it Batman vs Superman "Dawn of justice" - 2016

That's showing on my prime video app now

I tried to listen to Amazon music it looks for CC ( I used Revolut Mastercard) and address but comes up with an error saying not in Ireland etc :(

Edit: added new virtual "visa" on my revolut account and got signed up ok on amazon music with PM address :)

Actually, I think I will be charged for Amazon music separate and it's not included in prime subscription from what I'm reading. I had better cancel that then :).
It seems that its prime music is free (2 million songs) its the music unlimited is charged at £79 per year :)

    Hmmmm I've been on with a lad and he says;

As you have opened a membership for Ireland you will only get access to constant available in Ireland this is because of content license restrictions.

I asked about geo restrictions being gone and he said nope...

Told/spoofed him I am moving to the north next week... said changing address is not enough, IP address should also be for that location!!.

He then said that if a user had signed up for video via amazon.co.uk and NOT primevideo.com from Ireland then it was probably working for them, but I see now if in Ireland you can only get the prime video via primevideo.com.

I must be on prime UK as I can see the Batman Vs Spiderman listed on UK but not Ireland site. I created prime video a couple months ago.

    I have used www.justwatch.com/uk

Any other titles I can check to see if I'm on UK or Irish video ?

I've been reading a lot on this, and trying to grasp a feel for how things look regarding delivery. This is the main, and probably only thing, I want from Amazon Prime. And, the majority of reviews online are UK-geared or discuss the content. There's not a strong Irish insight into it.

Is there a certain amount that you realistically need to buy from Amazon to benefit from the delivery and speed? Is the selection of Amazon Prime Eligible products drastically limited for Irish users?

I tried to do some fiddling to get student status via HUKD tricks but they're closed down now. £39 student would be a great deal, but this seems like the best I'd get as a real person. Sure, I could go for a trial, but that only forces you to binge buy make benefit, which isn't realistic. And, when it's over, the price will be gone.

I'd love to get some genuine insight from locals on this. It be noted that I sometimes but vitamins and a few other products that won't ship to Ireland via Parcel Wizard, but these obviously incur a separate DPD charge.
