Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tragic, so young and vulnerable.

Very tough on the emergency staff too, especially those with small kids.

**** sake guys. What's going on here? Bodies chopped up in Cork/Dublin. Gangs fighting all over the shop some poor bloke knifed in the neck. Are we going mad as a society or what.

I have to agree with this. Things have been on a downward spiral this last couple of years

You can read about gangland shootings all day but the second it's about children it just hits you like a ton of bricks. So sad

So so upsetting. Poor children.
Wild speculation at this point.
Irish Times:

"The children and the woman are related. It is understood all four were living at the house where the bodies were found.

Gardaí believe the woman holds the information that will explain how the children died.

While the investigation was only beginning on Friday evening, gardaí have no evidence there was anyone else in the house around the time of the children’s deaths.

Gardaí are hoping to speak to the woman as soon as Saturday and in the meantime nobody else is being sought.

While the deaths of the three children were being treated by the Garda as “sudden” and “unexplained”, the inquiry into their deaths is criminal in nature."

Think closing the thread wouldn't be a bad idea.

Who needs strangers talking about this on the Internet.

I kinda figured we were ****ed when I was seeing lots of suicides around me over the past few years. Whole communities ravaged by it and the stats not correlating. A lot of them recorded as death by misadventure.

As a society we really are at the point we need to evaluate where we are. And what our priorities are.

I did have hope that it might have been something like Carbon Monoxide poisoning or something, which would have been awful in itself don't get me wrong. But I see things have moved on according to IT to a criminal issue.

How very sad. May the babes rest in peace.

So just ignore the fact that this is happening??

That's what Irish people did years ago whenever someone committed suicide.

Don't talk about it whatever you do.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

There was another story in recent days about 3 children who died in Arizona. Another terrible story.

A guy in Germany killed 6 of his family members in a restaurant today as well.

Come on. That's not what I mean. I'm not talking about brushing it all under the carpet.

It's more to do with people speculating wildly, which they are bound to do.

Usually threads involving discussion of current, let say matters under investigation, are nixed fairly quickly because usually, amongst all the sympathetic posts, there's randomers speculating about causes and what not. I'm not trying to pretend it it didn't happen.

But, I don't want to talk anymore about it.

Absolutely dreadful news. RIP to poor innocent children that have lost their lives.
Thoughts with the emergency services who attended the scene. It’s not something anyone would ever want to witness.

Horrific, just horrific. Those poor kids.

I pity the poor Gardaí that went into the house only to see a sight that's clearly going to haunt them forever.

God love those little babies. Deepest sympathy to their family. Thoughts with all their little schoolfriends too.

Absolutely horrific, those poor little things.

My sympathies also to the Gardai and Emergency Services who had to attend the scene. I can’t imagine you’d ever get over seeing such a thing.

Obviously we cant imagine what the immediate family are going through but spare a thought for the ES personal who were first on the scene. Don't think any training could prepare you for that.

I was in Newcastle around 1930 this evening dropping my friends off at the pub, seen a good few flashing blue lights coming from within the estate beside Kelly's Eurospar/service station, I wonder if that was related?

Poor kids, may they rest in peace.

That's exactly it. Sure the amount of people squealing, "Pure evil!" paint that point perfectly

it is awful sad.

RIP to those children.

The mother is gone to hospital and is in a bad way according to the RTE article.

I notice that one poster above made a reference to the Hawe case. And I also note that the article does not make any mention of the father...………
Could be a gas leak, why assume murder?

Why would someone leave a note for a gas leak?

Come on like.

Let's not play the innocent boy here, there have been several cases like this in the past, very similar. And we know what happened there.

I'm not speculating. But anyone with an ounce of cop on can read between the lines in that article and have a fair idea of what actually happened.

Provide a link or it's just speculation
https://www.dublinlive.ie/news/dublin-news/gardai-rush-scene-three-children-17629570

This is the link reporting Gardaí believe the children were drugged or poisoned. Apologies for not including earlier.

Can someone edit the title - there are many Newcastles.

THE BODIES OF three children have been found at a house in Dublin, gardaí have confirmed.

Gardaí are currently attending the scene of the incident at a house in Parson’s Court, Newcastle, Co Dublin. A tragedy, poor kids.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

I have edited the thread title to say Newcastle, Dublin

I have also removed a small number of posts that were nothing but baseless speculation on either what happened, or the reasons behind this tragic event. Please leave the speculating and lets discuss the facts as they have been reported so far.

shocking. I have been there before. it's just a tiny village with a relatively well off population. (unless it has changed in the intervening 15 years )
