Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Same here. Ordered on Wednesday with expected delivery this coming Tuesday. My package arrived a few minutes ago.

I ordered yesterday morning with a delivery date of Thursday. It was dispatched yesterday afternoon and the delivery date changed to Monday. It arrived today. Hopefully one day delivery will become more common.

Just had a look at my outstanding bits. They're sending me a replacement 3rd generation dot with clock as my 9 month old one is acting up and resets haven't fixed it. Dispatched yesterday due 27 October!! Coming from Germany for some reason

    No.

Forgot about the £100 for £110 offer and just checked my account and it didn't come through so onto Customer Service and they sorted it there now...

Parcel motel have an issue with alcohol, refuse it, parcel Wizard don't. I ship brewdog once a month with parcel Wizard

Their issue is as much with it being liquid as anything else. If a bottle or bottles smash in transit wetting everything else, they could well get grief from customers about the condition of the other packages. DPD say that they don’t ship liquids as well. They won’t entertain a claim if it gets broken

Something I only read about today is Households..

    https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-household-prime-benefits-shopping-hack?r=US&IR=T

Looks like you can share your benefits with your partner (or kids) at no additional cost.

I already have a Household setup with the missus on Prime so handy to just pay the one fee for benefits!

They did indeed (for some). Haven't got a chance to use yet.

But someone bought it at £70 or thereabouts recently on thread here and used it, and seemed to be impressed.

That is so handy. Thanks for the heads up. No need for two prime accounts in the house now.

Recieved a small package today and it was delivered by DPD, so Amazon have obviously added another delivery company to their books in Ireland for the moment.

I got my laptop via DPD last week. Some An Post and some Amazon. The most hilarious is that they're sending a £1.99 advent calendar via Amazon logistics. Surely cheaper to post

They can work an Amazon logistics courier to death, Postmen have a union.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Only thing to note is, prime video can't be shared in ROI so if you watch on different devices it can be a bit of a PITA especially when signing into any Amazon app on a phone usually signs you into all Amazon apps, ie, if you sign into prime video it usually signs you into that account on the shopping app, kindle app etc

I’ve been using parcel motel mostly for Amazon. My last few orders I’ve noticed once I click away from that default address to my usual ROI address the shipping isn’t affected at all. Just in case anyone else assumes it’s always cheaper, it hasn’t been for me in a while. Half of my prime buys arrived on Friday with an post, the rest have been despatched so I’ll see them on Tuesday. No delays at all, successful enough this year!

Always worth checking for sure, my last order was 150 more going to Ireland with the kids fire 8 not shipping here at all

As long as you have a Prime Account it is better to use your home address , unless a product cannot be shipped to Ireland. Only then do you use your Parcel Motel, AddressPal etc.

If you have a regular Amazon account you are usually better off using your alternative account than your home address because if delivery charges. That is not always the case though.

I impulsed an Xbox One X from the warehouse during Prime Day. Came in at around £237 delivered.
I tried to cancel not long afterwards, but they said I couldn’t. Said if I wanted, just refuse delivery and it’d be returned to them.
Already have an Xbox S, so I’m wondering if it’s worth holding onto the X or not?

BTW, it’s the kid uses it, not me. And he usually plays Fortnite.

I've noticed that the return date for anything bought between now and Christmas is Jan 31st so you have over 3.5 months to return it.
    https://tamebay.com/2020/10/amazon-2020-extended-christmas-returns-policy.html
I can see people abusing this .

Probably not if its just for Fortnite - X has an optical drive alright and 4k - however for casual gaming the one S is fine

Picked up my firestick that was delivered to my parcel motel locker yesterday. Got a nice surprise with 2 deliverys from the new local amazon driver today. Happy days.

Picked this up on lightning deal. Anker are solid so just had a cursory glance and bought it. Always read the small print - doesnt support QC, just PD. Makes it a far less tidy solution when I need a second charger.

Sunday delivery from an post here with our new deebot. He has been happily cleaning the kitchen floor for us this evening. Need to set up a schedule for it to potter around while we are working as he’s fairly noisy

Posting in here as its prime day related. Ordered 2 things, both had been dispatched, well so I thought...

Checked tracking this morning and they have both been marked as 'Undeliverable', saying it was cancelled and I will have a refund within 5-7 days....

Anyone experience this before or know why it happened?

I got that last week as well.

It was later updated to say that the package was damaged in transit and sent back to the sender.

Now my package was a face mask and a jumper, so what damaged could have incurred I don't know.

Had same thing on prime day deal which I used a prime day only coupon on. Dispatched by UPS. At the exact same time tracking number was provided, it was marked as damaged and returned to sender so I think Amazon up to no good. Tracking number doesn't exist on UPS website.

Has 2 day shipping to Ireland ended in recent weeks? I cant seem to find anything on there that wont arrive before the 27th...

The webcam I ordered on prime day I have to pay full price for, and it wont be here for another week.

One of the lads ordered a travel mug last week, seemed to be delivered by an Amazon delivery driver on Saturday, could follow him around on the app and knew how many stops away he was from his house etc. Pretty cool

Thats the problem with Prime day lots of orders slower picking and packing. The time the actual parcel is in the actual delivery system once it leaves an Amazon warehouse remains mostly the same.

Looks like 27th as you say for many items but check again tomorrow as they seem to change those dates at midnight depending on order levels.

My stuff that was supposed to be delivered Wednesday is out for delivery to day (Monday) so they are often quicker than they say.

Wake me up when it's all over.

just lucky it wasn't a book in there the box was soaked through!
