Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Local communities espically in Galway are fabulous when they come together: tidy towns, clean beaches. Yes we are *all* worried About covid 19 and there are those who need practical help. Join in, volunteer to shop/pick up meds for elderly/frail/ immuno-suppressed
I’m willing to collect / drop off areas around the city, anyone else up for helping........

If a mod could help weed out the squabbling and fake news it’s be amazing

Perhaps approach an organisation like COPE Galway or Age Action to see if they need additional volunteers at this time.

They already have the mechanisms in place to Garda vet and supervise volunteers.

Volunteers initiatives which involve visiting vulnerable people without these structures would be risky for both sides.

In terms of pulling together, don't forget to support your local businesses. Cafes, restaurants, small retailers are struggling.

Cashflow has dried up for many of them around the city and county.
That's local jobs and households that are already on the ropes and this could go on indefinitely.
