Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Overdue question n. 1:

Name the ranks/the choirs of angels in Christianity, please.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,767 ✭✭✭✭looksee

Lol, I was going to ask that one NH but I figured there were too many, at least I have seen them recently. If you don't mind whether they are in order I can do some of them:

Cherubim, Serafim, Choirs, Archangels, you know what, I can't remember any more.

Not choirs, sorry. 3 correct, a few more to go. :)

Thrones, Dominions, Principalities and Angels are more.

I assume we're just sticking with Catholic classifications, as there are other Jewish and Islamic angelic ranks.

In Christianity, anyway. Two more to go, please.

What do Ambrose, Bede the Venerable, Ephrem the Syrian, Bonaventure, Alphonsus Liguori, John of the Cross, Anthony of Padua and Hildegard of Bingen among lots of others have in common?
