So the white man is a hero...the back man a bomber ....yes...that's all we need to know....as you were

The black man was a bomber though. Does he get exemptions for killing Yemeni because he is black? That’s tough on them, if true.

So what if he was? So he had some amazingly corrupt bast@rds behind him to get him two terms.
Glad you are you in awe of the all the dead he left in his wake. "Mission Accomplished".

George W Bush was "slotted" into the role. His whole life is a farce. His PhD is a joke. His pilots lisence (Turned up 6 times for training) and military service (mothballed bomber held back and saved from Vietnam) was a joke. He was put in there so Daddy could get Rumsfeld and Cheney to do the donkey work around the White house. Any business he ever touched ran into the ground including drilling in the middle east. He lost loads of other peoples money in private industry. Its a miracle how he got elected...... oh yeah Al Gore his old Yale/Skull and Bones buddy stepped down and loads of ballot boxes went missing in Dade county Florida.

How could my boring life compete with that? Its all in his biography

Remembers when The Simpson's dog chased him down the road.

Homer: I guess you could say he's barking up the wrong Bush.

Internal monologue: There it is Homer, the smartest thing you've ever said and nobody around to hear it.

Have you not read the thread? He's been called a warmonger, an idiot and a terrorist. I personally think his biggest crime was being a bad neighbour.

They say Director of the CIA is the most important job in the country.

They know more than the pres and are not obliged by law to indulge.

And they love training the taliban

Let's be honest here. He was an "idiot" look at who's in office now. Do you think it actually takes brains to get in office? You get in with a network of great connections. At least that how it is generally. Ronald Reagan a bloody actor got in. The US presidency is not massively hinged on intelligence, at least not in the last 35 years.

Intelligence mightn't be the barometer but you still need it to get the job.

In all fairness Trump is getting stuff done in the background. North Korea was asked to come to the table nicely and when they didnt 200 of their scientist were killed in an "accident" and then they came to the table. Trade with China is being re-negotiated. All these little side shows like "pussy grabbing" and "call girls" are a distraction to the real business.

The only thing that confuses me is why no-one wants to get out of a worthless country like Afghanistan. It has been tried before by countless empires and military minds and failed. Technology is of no advantage in Afghanistan and the cost of extracting the wealth is too high. I was sort of hoping China/Saudi would more in there next

Par Obama do you think Bush & Trump have the capacity to be president? They're both supported and propped by much smarter people.

Generally it does mean if someone jumbles up their words they aren't all that smart.

Because smart people can form coherent sentences, arguments with logic and elequence. Not continuously contradict themselves on a daily basis.

    Trump would only eulogise himself.

Trump doesnt have the charm or grace of Regan, Clinton or Obama. But he has a history of getting results in adverse conditions. He doesnt always succeed (no business man ever does) but he does come out on top more often than not.

He is a fantastic strategist (Beat Clinton with half of the money and without media backing or the old guard of the Republicans). He realised what he could and couldnt win and focused on the place he could win. He will put in place a new infrastructure project in his next term.

My favourite thing he did was get rid of that traitor John Brennan, publicly.

He was actually a decent US president, probably the best since Nixon. Can't forgive him for going after Saddam though. The British drew map lines in the Middle East after World War One and the American oil companies shafted them. Shame on both.

No US president leaves a perfect legacy. They've all got blood on their hands, they've all made bad decisions and corrupt decisions. Choirboys don't make it to the Oval Office. Having said that, it's hard not to wonder what on earth has happened to the USA. Bush Snr mightn't have been the best president they ever had but he's certainly not their worst. That accolade has to go to that orange ignoramus who's in there now. When he dies (not soon enough in my book) people will want to go to his funeral to make sure he's dead.

I wonder how he felt about Ross Perot.

Perot split enough of his vote in 1992 to hand the election to Bill Clinton.

nope the Mass media were against him from the onset. He turned that disadvantage to his advantage. That is the general I would rather serve under. Trump didnt have the Republican party behind him the way that the Democrats rallied around Hillary after Bernie Sanders tanked. Paul Ryan, the Bushs, Newt Gingritch, Mitt Romney never rallied around Trump.

They made fun of Donal Trump from start to finish. When I feel a little blue all I have to do is to take a look at "The Young Turks" on Election night. That is poetry in motion.

Well the first thing is to rebalance trade with China you may have missed the "Coach" on the air conditioning factory. He is also running a war with auto trade manuacturers who want to move manufacturing outside the USA and then import the cars back into the US. The stories how 200 North Korean scientists blew themselves up in an "accidental" explosion at a research facility? See how he devoted time and resources to getting Peurto Rico back on its feet? See how Hati is doing since the Clintons and Bono lent a helping hand? See how Al Queda was run out of Raqqua and Allepo in 6 months? Russian and US cooperation. 10 Billion worth of Arms Sales to Saudi Arabia in one contract? That is doing business. You are worried about what colour his hair roots are and a $500 hooker, while he is fixing the economy. You never see that stuff on the front page, its always on pages 6&7 on the inside columns

Without President Bush, Germany would never have been reunited, not with that paranoid b#tch Thatcher in office over in London. It was his pressure on the nations on western Europe that paved the way for reunification. As someone who witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall and reunification first hand, who saw the tears streaming down the faces of my parents and grandmother when the pictures came on on TV, followed a few hours later by the first east German cars coming into our little hometown on the outskirts of Hamburg, I'll forever remain grateful for everyone who put their efforts into making reunification happen. George H.W. Bush is definitely among them. Despite all the economic and social turbulence that followed the events in 1989, Germany, and indeed Europe, has become a better place.
Granted, he has blood on his hands. So what? Name one head of state who doesn't? Statesmanship has always been a bloody business, and always will be. Anyone who believes otherwise is too naive to be let out into public unsupervised. But for all the bad things he did, he was instrumental in improving the lives of millions of people on the other side of the Iron Curtain.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

I don't give a damn about his hair, that's only you.
The other stuff, give me a break.
This is how Haughey and his ilk always survive, always someone to defend them.

As for Peurto Rico..... sweet Jesus. I work with colleagues out there. Maybe stop reading the headlines/tweets and do some research.

    He was a bomber?

I don’t get the hate for Bush 1. The first Iraq war was justified and authorised by the U.N. as I recall. Also he was pretty smart. Are people confusing him with his son?

The real craziness in US policy began post 2001.

So Jimmy Carter has now outlived the two Republican Presidents who came after him. His days must be numbered too as he is only a few months younger than Bush.
