Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Last 30 mins the wind has really picked up in Waterford. Clouds have turned dark and it's starting to spit. One of our strays went out for a pee and literally hopped on the spot when a gust of wind caught his ar*e, he turned about and shot back in the door like sh*t off a shovel. :D He won't be going out again till it's over.

Rain is heavy here, but only 2.2mm (now) recorded so far....I think with the wind/sideways rain, not all is being captured/recorded.

Is it passing over or forecast to persist?
Is it getting dry in the west now?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,923 ✭✭✭adocholiday

Really dark, windy and bucketing down in D14 right now. M50/N11 already showing 20 minute delays and rush hour hasn't even started yet. Commute home should be fun. Met Eireann site also showing that the rain won't clear from the Dublin area as quickly as was forecast around lunch time. Anyone commuting out of Dublin should take care.

Nice bit of flooding at St Johns GAA ...... traffic is awful

I may as well have waded from Baggot Street to Aungier Street. Almost impossible to avoid the large puddles on the street corners. Not easy to step over!

It is still lashing. But, at least I'm on the bus home. An awful day!

lots of surface water but stopped raining 30 min ago, sandymount is ground to a halt which is unusual, either tunnel closed? or merrion road a mess?, trains and darts were running fine but they said northbound darts delayed because of flooding in glenageary

I think I heard there was a crash at or near the entrance to port tunnel?

Rain has stopped in Dublin 16. 19.2mm.

Been raining all morning here in Wicklow and no sign of a let up just yet. Seems the East coast is getting some rain until about midday according to Met Eireann.

Miserable in Dublin as I head out for a hike. So much for showers affecting the west mainly as met eireann previously claimed.
