Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I thought this was about it Romero's Zeds from the Original DOTD fought the Zeds from the remake of DOTD, not whether one film was better than the other.

So shuffling, slow Zeds against fast, feral Zeds in a fight? The 2004 zeds win this one easily in a slugfest.

    Van Helsing
    ahhhaa

its got to be chucky hes the star! also the fact that he can "jump" into other bodies, hes got a bride now too.

    classic childs play.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,394 ✭✭✭DakotaYoda

Chucky may have the soul of a murderer but Blade from Puppet Master has the soul of a crazy Nazi doctor. That would be worse in my book... He's been good - he's been bad. Plus he has bullets that shoot out of his eys.

    Blade gets my vote.

Blade for me, simply because of the bullet spikes that come out of his eyes and his hook for a hand. He's well armed in comparison to Chucky. ;)

    Van Helsing
Blade for me. He is well tooled.

Just look at the two pics on display of them.

You don't want the guy with scars on his face if you are looking for a tough guy, you want the guy who put the scars there.:)

Christopher Lee's Dracula was pure bad ass with no redeeming characteristics. Pure evil, just like, you know, how Bram Stoker WROTE the damn character! Lee will disembowel both pretenders.

5 - 1- 0 to Count Lee, with RR a distant second,. Surprisingly Oldman has yet to leave the blocks.

One more will for Lee will see this over.

best ever dracula (in all but name) has got to be
Max Schreck. But for this battle... Christopher Lee. The man's a legend of horror.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,080 ✭✭✭✭Micky Dolenz

And with that, Lee emerges as the winner. 6-2-0

Oldman was severely hampered by Keanu Reeves being in that movie. His total suckage drags the rest of the cast down with him... even Oldman takes the hit.

Think I would have gone for Lee in the last one, so happy with that outcome.

In this one I have to go for the Exorcist!

    Van Helsing
Meh Not too fussed on this pairing.

Will give it to the bint that crawls from the tv in the Ring. At least she has a decent stack of bodies to her name.

All Regan does is pee on the floor, rotate her head, puke and swear. Pretty normal stuff for a kid to do. :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,394 ✭✭✭DakotaYoda

I'll vote Exorcist on the idea that she'd be pretty bad ass were she not tied down... still.... rather lame the semi-all-powerful-devil couldn't free himself from a simple bed.

Ring girl greaked me out the first time but the Exorcist scarred me more deeply.

    Oh The Exorcist :D

Nothing to even think about. That movie still freaks me out lol

Exorcist. it swore more. and was funnier. you could be armed to the teeth with machineguns, and it would be able to insult you into tears.

I'm going to phone in here and just say Karloff's Frankenstein Monster, purely for how iconic the portrayal has become.

This tournament has just become votes for which film was best and not what creature could beat another creature in a fight regardless of how good/bad the film it came from was..

Not me anyway, my last vote was the only one not based on comparing the characters. In a way I actually did though, because when it comes to Frankenstein's monster there's very little separating all of the different portrayals. Karloff's Frankenstein is probably the most sinister out of the bunch.

I try to take into account the film, the impact the character had, its appearance, a view different aspects.

I'm going to go with the original here having said that, It has the Iconic look, and like was said before in terms of physicality they're pretty evenly matched.
