Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oh !!! Well your man in with us didn't mention any of that to me he said they had checked it out and we'd definitely be able to get Broadband in . I'll find out Wednesday !!

Yeah he told me we could get it until I told him that they never put the old copper infrastructure in this estate, he said he had a KN technician in the car with him, so I pointed at a man hole and told him to open that up, and if I'm wrong knock at everyone else's house, they went looked and then drove off. Hopefully I'm wrong and you do get it and it works.

Hey meant to update. I had to change the appointment. These people must think no one works giving an appointment between 9am and 5pm no rough indication of a time even.
    New appointment is 18th January

So Vodafone were due to call to us yesterday...no one showed up or called. When we eventually got through to someone (after numerous attempts) they told us it wouldn’t be available until 8th March yet if I ring as a new customer they are still tell me its available - no one can give is an answer!!!
Has anyone considered Three Broadband?? Not sure of the coverage as we both are with Vodafone.

You'll be going round and round in circles with Vodafone and eir, if they're telling you march, maybe that's the date when the fibre to the home will be available. I got the three broadband last weekend to keep me ticking over, 30 euro 30 day rolling contract, 150 euro for the router, 750GB

Not impressed. I know it wont be March it’ll keep getting pushed out. Yeh thats he plan I was looking at. How do you find it??

Hopefully it will be soon, I've emailed everyone complaining, even the national broadband plan. Yeah I'm getting about 18-20mb on it, it's decent, ok for the sky Q and Netflix and stuff, nothing serious

Anyone else having flush issues. Toilet downstairs just randomly fills or flushes through out the day. It's so annoying. Plumbers were in but just dismissive of it. Head plumber seems nice but some of the guys working for him need to work on their personalities

What do you mean it flushes throughout the day? I had a problem with it filling, only happened for 5 mins I flushed again and it hasn't happened since

Same thing happened us I am fuming my husband took today off to wait on a Vodafone engineer who did not show up. I rang them and they told me the appointment was cancelled due to a problem In the area so they cancel the appointment but yet they fail to inform us . That is not good enough I am sending in a complaint

Laurie text me during the week to say someone from EIR was in the estate and they're gonna rectify the problem, it's just a case of someone flicking a switch to activate the fibre to the home, so we will see what happens with that.

She told me that during the week alright too but again I wouldn't hold my breath until it happens. I got the 3 one and signed up for contract cos suits me anyway. In another note any if ye have water pressure issues??

Yeah the pressure from the sink taps aren't great, shower is fine and so is the bath. Downstairs sink in the kitchen is fine, but all bathroom sink taps have low pressure, I've heard that's a problem with monasterevin as a whole .

My shower pressure is only ok. Did mention it to the plumber and response was " it's coming from the tank, what do you expect. It's not a power shower".

The one in your ensuite? It is a power shower.

It's an electric shower but not a power one. I might get an outside plumber in and have a look as I have found one on site very unhelpful

Ours is powerful enough, I know there was Someone on here giving out about the pressure a while back. How are you finding everything else ?

Take the cistern lid off & see if that makes a difference. If it does it probably means the 2 rods are hitting the flushing plates

Yeah it's weird alright was wondering if it was just me. I have seen the plumbers in action so wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't bother in a house or two

I just moved in yesterday, got a three modem on the 40 day contract today, still have to set it up.

Will do for a few months until the actual broadband is sorted

Can you please tell me if the painter painted your handrail on the stairs in white.. I'm fuming he painted ours.. I was under the impression the handrail was to be left wooden.

I thought the same but no they are all painted. But they leave the sconces unfinished which is really odd

Thanks for replying... I'm back down there on Monday to do our snag.. which was supposed to be last week but the painter is still in there.. I'm absolutely fuming over it, I know it's only a small detail but it was never mentioned to us. We just presumed it would be the same as in the show house and on pictures so I'm definetly bringing it to their attention... also the stairs is destroyed in run marks from the paint... how is the finish on your house? Did you find any faults ?

So strange ... and definetly wasn't said it to us.. I know it's only a small detail but I would of preferred the handrail left bare...

Also how did you find the finished result on your house aaron? Anything I should be looking out for

The house is finished to pretty good standard, few chips in paint and a small hole here or there, but our snagger didn't pick them up, cosmetic stuff, nothing major, over all I'm very happy with the finish, and if you do have a problem, Laurie is fairly quick to have it sorted for you if she can.

Yeah mine is painted too but ball at end not. Overall I found finish was good but I didn't go turn key so was little to finish. I had toilet issues and ended up getting manufacturer of toilet out to sort it but got sorted eventually. Laurie is good to be fair to her but any plumbing issues I would ensure are sorted before money realeased cos I found them a nightmare.

Seen KN networks on the road earlier testing lines to see if they're live, they said they aren't just yet, but they're due to go live by the end of April, which should be soon.

Just wondering if there’s been any update on the broadband? Am considering these houses but work from home a good bit and we’ll definitely need strong broadband
