Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was looking this up and I can't get a clear answer.

When something like stomach flu starts "going around" how does it actually start?

I know how it can spread but what can cause "patient zero" to get?

During the night I got a slight pain in my stomach, only lasted a moment and few minutes later I headed for the toilet. What came out was atrocious and I thought I must have a "bug" or illness of some kind as nothing I had ate could account for it but I haven't been out since last Saturday or had close contact with anyone.

It passed and I was fine (though worn out) but it started me wondering how does stomach flu start in patient zero?
