Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Boo at Ballymaloe – an interactive Halloween experience for kids in search of a frighteningly-fun adventure – will take over the famous Ballymaloe Grainstore in Shanagarry, Co. Cork over the mid-term. It is designed to suit children from two and over with the themed event taking place from 10am to 6pm each day.

    Spooky

I was going to say that it's a weirdly tone-deaf thing for the Allens to do, but apparently it's an annual thing. Very successful too. I know there are lots of rumours about that case, muddying the waters somewhat (perhaps intentionally), but people really are bizarrely forgiving.

Probably. And the family 'stood by him'.

And now they want the kids to meet him...

I understand why vigilantes go for paedophiles. It's the worst crime in society. Plus they usually don't fight back.

Seems to be a piece in yesterday's SBP. It's behind a paywall so don't know if it contains an interview with Darina.

    Absolute madness

    The Boo is back baby.

If it were any other family, their business would be ruined and possibly run out of the country.

Why is everyone getting stuck into Derina??? it was her husband not her...is it just plain old guilty by association? ?

I'd hate to have some of you on a jury

Not having a go at Darina. Ballymaloe is a brand and at present she is the matriach of it. It is a very hard job to protect a brand when any element of it or one of its key members misbehaves. Especially when its a hospitality brand.

Its not about that, its more to do with how they stuck by him after he pleaded guilty. They're clearly okay with having a paedo living with them, thats the part that annoys people about them.

He was convicted of possession of 977 pornographic images of children

    He’s a convicted child pornographer

As for “stand by your man” Darina.....

    Mod

No meaningful attempt to discuss the event described in the op, just pages and pages of posts referencing an old court case.
