Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Argeles Sur Mer Soutern France high of 30-31 today warmest it's been not too bad though as we're close to the Med tomorrow's forecast looks daunting though!

Touched 48C here in Kuwait today . 10pm now and it's still 41 degrees. Only 10% humidity though so not all bad.

Lagos portugal (south) mid 20's high, none of this heatwave malarkey. Very different to a typical med climate.

Portugal is still experiencing lower than average temperatures and has mostly been like this for the past 4 weeks, this will probably be one their coldest Junes on record. Portugal often gets into the high 30s and sometimes early 40's, but nothing of the sort this June with high teens to mid 20's dominating this month.

Thanks, we were here same time last year and weather was similar, remember it being hotter leaving dublin then when we arrived.
There tends to be a lot of wind here so it takes the edge off the heat and it cools down in the evening.

Just west of you in Burgau sipping a cold but the crap Superbock beer. Very pleasant though. Locals were complaining of the cold wind up to 23rd June.

35.9 °C here in Alghero, Sardinia yesterday. What a great network of stations they have here, both rural and urban, with great detail on observations and forecasts. Puts Ireland to shame.

Oliena (Gianfranco Zola's home town) is forecast to hit 44 °C in the next few days.

Will be in Bosa this week alright.

Yesterday the max temps showed a huge variation across the island. 41.5 °C at Decimomannu, inland north of Cagliari, while only 29.6 here in Alghero, coastal northwest. What's more notable is the difference in dewpoints. In Alghero and along the northwest and west dewpoint was up to a stifling 29.6°C at Capo Frasca, while along the east and southeast it was as low as just 2 °C. So the high humidity kept the temperatures down but the heat index everywhere was around 40.

had a nice few days in the Oriheula Costa region near Murcia. Temperature got to 28 on Wednesday when I arrived, 29 on Thursday, 30 on Friday, 32 on Saturday and 34 yesterday. Weekend started hazy and this developed into outbreaks of thunderstorms, which was tame but like Irish style thunder and some heavy rain. I loved the very warm conditions and looking forward to being back in Spain in a weeks time.

Back home in Dunshaughlin, a cool and cloudy morning.

What’s worse was, our apartment in Salou had no AC and was terrible.

Did it also get really windy last night for you?

Donegal and in downings. Sat and Sunday were unreal days and evenings. Today was non stop drizzle and heavy rain. Brutal and rest of week looks just as bad 😭😭😭

In Majorca currently, when we arrived the humidity was so high and so were the temperatures. Approx 36-38c inland. After some thunder and lightning 5 days ago, it has freshened somewhat. Now 31c by day.

I'm in Spain too. Last couple of days has been perfect but tonight the humidity seemed to jump up from about 9:30pm

Just looking at our weather forecast for today, and it’s saying chance of thunderstorms this afternoon here. My boys would love to see a storm if it verified. They slept through the last one in Galway earlier this year!

I'm off to Malaga first thing in the morning, it reached 39C in the Malaga region today, much cooler there from tomorrow with a temperature of around 28C till the weekend then warming up into the low 30's. Looking forward to my dose of warm to hot sunshine.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 16,961 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gonzo

arrived safely in Malaga, Misty and cloudy at Malaga with a temperature of 25C, drove to Fuengirola where I'm staying and it's beautiful sunny and 27C.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 16,961 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gonzo

got to 29C today in Fuengirola, was forcasted to be 27C, I'm expecting a nice 30C tomorrow rising to low 30's next week and possibly higher if the plume from Africa really gets fired up (this is expected to reach much of the UK too and possibly shave close to eastern Ireland.

Yes they have an article on another rerun of the heatwave on meteofrance:

    (Nouvel épisode de canicule)
I'm in South East France and we are expecting 30-35 which is bearable, as long as the humidity doesn't skyrocket. The night time temps are a killer though with minimums of 28c forecast.

Hit 33C in London here today. Very bearable heat though and didn't feel that humid. Pity we don't get regular nice summers at home like they do.

nearing the end of my holiday in Southern Spain, today has by far been the hottest day of the holiday with temperature reaching 37C earlier in the afternoon and feeling pleasant due to a nice cool onshore wind. I'll miss the high temperatures next week.

In the Spanish city of Cordoba in Andalusia. About 34 degrees with full blue skies and no chance of rain or cloud. Too hot for some, perfect for me.

Benalmadena. Dunno what temperature it is but it's lovely and warm, the slightest of breezes and not a cloud in the sky. Perfect holiday weather.

SW Florida, hot and sticky with lots of rumbles of thunder. Temps 90-95 and humidity is nice and high.

just back home this evening from Malaga, feels very chilly here in comparison. The past few days in Fuengirola were beautiful, about 30C. No clouds or showers over the entire two weeks. This weekend is looking very hot in the Malaga region with mid to high 30's possible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 537 ✭✭✭clever user name

33 in Xi'an, China. 50% humidity, feels a little sticky but not unbearable. Better than last weekend where it was 39 and humid as hell.

I was in Mauze Sur la Mignon (France) for two weeks. Got back on the weekend.
Temps hit 40.5c. It wasn't an enjoyable heat!

A truly glorious beach day in Mulranny Co Mayo today. It was absolutely exquisite. 20 degrees, flat calm, and wall to wall sunshine.

    Absolute perfection.

If we had more of it, I'd never ask to leave the place and go to hotter climates.
