Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Only Fools and Horses, and Match of the Day.

Honourable mentions for X-Men, Inspector Gadget, Father Ted, and I was glad to see The Bill mentioned above. :)

    Why Don't You?

I loved it because of the irony..... Why Don't You switch off your television set and go out and do something less boring instead?

Because if you did you wouldn't see the programme......

And don't get me started on the guy who puts his foot through the telley!

Only Fools and Horses is another favourite, both the start and end tunes. Puts me in a good mood.

The original theme wasn't quite as iconic!

Mission Impossible. The best tv theme music by a mile.

The original Mission Impossible theme, the Rockford Files and The Onedin Line.

Mike Post composed some great themes. Apart from Rockford, he also did Hill Street Blues, Magnum, The A Team, and a staggering number of others (160 credits on IMDB).

    Yeah, Spartacus though...

ER was a great theme song. Baywatch had its good points as a theme song. Saved by the bell. Around the twist because it was nuts(both the show and the song). Pugwall was another. Ducktales if we are going cartoons. Animaniacs.

I remember listening back to a lot of theme songs from when I was younger and there was more effort put into the intros to some shows then is put into the main shows now.

    Good call.

I never really liked the cartoon, but yeah that theme tune is kind of odd somehow, something off about it, probably the Japanese/South American mix or something.

    However, extremely catchy.

Cheers. The tune always bring me back to my youth and what now seems to have been a much more innocent time.

    Loved the Cheers opening sequence

And damn someone beat me to Blakes 7 - loved it as a kid (hasn't aged well as a series but the theme tune is still great, shame the reboot never went anywhere)

Love the theme tune for Outlander

    There is just too many

    Oooh UFO
