Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

mm what are they like for comfort? price?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,518 ✭✭✭✭dudara

They're comfortable - the platform sole helps with that. Like most IC shoes, they're a little tight in the toes, but I have been stretching them with success.

I bought them in the Irregular Choice shop on Carnaby Street, London for about £40 in the sale, but I saw them last night on this website for £32.50 (don't know about P&P though) but only sizes 4 and 5 are available.

The same website has a flat version of the shoe in blue (sizes 6 and 7) which I think is adorable - but I'm a size 4. :(

Just checked the tag on it there and it says €68! Cant believe its that much in euros especially since I just checked my online credit card statement and the dress and the cardigan only came to €83.84/£72. Just checked a few other things and cant believe how cheap I got everything for!

Spadina - dress is by jj park, so stick jj park in their search on asos and you should find it.
The jumper is Ted Baker, also stick into the search on asos.

Just bought this Tadashi dress on eBay - fantastic designer who does beautiful occasion dresses. I'm hoping to wear it to a wedding in a few weeks.

Update: This dress arrived yesterday and it is just gorgeous. The photo really doesn't do it justice at all. The skirt is a lovely taffeta silk, while the jersey top portion really flatters my bust and waist. Brilliant - I'll definitely buy more Tadashi dresses in future.

Got these boots in Fat Face in the airport on the way to my holliers. They look nicer than the pic and are really comfy.

Sorry can't seem to just upload the picture.

Got this skirt in Dunnes, the green sequin one.

I got a lovely cream shirt from the Savida range but can't find a pic.

Got this bag in Peacocks over in Gozo. Wouldn't be the type of bag I'd normally go for but looks great.

So far, I've bought my dresses off ebay.com and they've been in American sizing. I've bought size 12s (UK size 14) and they fit very well. In fact, I'd say that a US 10 would do too.

If you're unsure about American sizing, here's a link to a conversion website.

Two sensible buys...and then I went abit mad and spent 300E on a Gant millitary style jacket :o Have to wait 2 wks for delivery though, kinda hoping I don't get buyers remorse in the meantime.

This arrived today, it's a wee bit wide and flappy in the waist but I've already been to the tailor with it. The materials are fantastic tho'. Really happy with it.

    Bought this top :
