Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The poster must not be great at Googling.

    They left out Bradford City

Why do people always seem to forget Bradford City ?

11th May 1985 by the way.

It was Guess the year on Classic Hits during the week. They played a clip of the commentary from it.

Cracking goal by Robbie Brady with his right foot. Pickford poor again. 1-0 Burnley

    Delph done his hamstring.

Burnley look like they're back to their best. Bad news for Sheffield United, West Brom and Fulham.

    1-1 HT.

    DCL run continues

Evenly matched teams. Both are probably in false positions in the league's tbf. Everton overachieving and Burnley underachieving.

Have you looked at the table or is this just the usual? You don't think Everton are or have a claim to be the 7th best team in the league?

    ?

I said they are overachieving and Burnley underachieving. Hardly too controversial. Recent seasons would back this up.

    Not really controversial just wrong?

    Everton recent seasons - 12th 8th 8th and then before that 7th.

Currently 7th in live game with United/Villa/City 2 games in hand behind us.

So where exactly is the overachieving?

I read his original post as Everton are a bit higher than they usually are so far this season and Burnley are a bit power than they usually are. Hence the over and underachieving comment?

I'd be amazed if anybody knew the average Everton position after 10 games because I certainly don't :pac:

Even if it was average position after 10 games you would still have them between 10-13th which given the games in hand is not overachieving

    This game is pretty boring.

    This game is pretty boring.

I'm zoning in & out of the game but honestly watching some of the action makes me think that I could have gone professional.

What's the story with Laporte at City? Doesn't seem to be a guaranteed starter anymore and it doesn't look like a fitness issue.

Was poor in the defeat to Spurs and since then it's been bench, not in squad, bench & bench again today.

I thought that when, no offence, Djimi Traore won a Champions League. His opposite number that day was some lad called Paola Maldini.

Kompany is not there anymore he made everyone he played with look better than they actually are he made good players look really good and average players look good.

Komapny was also a leader I don't think any of the City defenders are actually leaders who will drag the rest of them defence up when they need support.

I don't think so. The 'big six' and Wolves are better than them. They had good results at the start of the season but I've seen them three or four times and they've been very poor and I don't actually even get what kind of style they're trying to play. They have nothing in midfield.

Why is Walker out of the squad? Pep or other reasons? He played well last week I thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I picked him in my FF team as a replacement for Digne. Kiss of death.

Brought him in last week myself, scored 9 points. It's like lotto with Pep at times.

Yeah agree. City look to be coming back into strong attacking form. The opening goal was nice to be fair.

Really looking forward the the West Ham and United game.

Enjoying watching Bowen play, think he'll cause United some problems. Should be a good game

Not PL but not one bit surprised at these fans. Should have all walked off and left them to their gammon and brexit

If Fernandes isn’t injured OGS is taking some chance benching him.

He’s still the man that, in my opinion, is keeping OGS in a job.

Milwall have said till the New Year when " a new and comprehensive anti-discrimination strategy will be announced by the club". Not sure if all clubs are planning the same?

Guardiola, a big advocate of bringing back 5 subs, makes none today in a relatively comfortable game.

Half the team didn't start mid week I don't think.

Was very surprised Sterling played the full 90

West Ham looking the better team so far.

    Edit: and deservedly lead.

When police forces cease to use excessive and disproportionate force against minorities.

Which I think is supposed to happen Monday week.

Think he would’ve been deemed offside by VAR.

McTominay is just another Phil Jones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

United dont ever try to win the ball back. It's all passive defending, just standing off and 'shepherding' West Ham all the way to their box.

Not one player sprinting or putting a tackle in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,972 ✭✭✭doc_17

What a horrific United strip that is

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,610 ✭✭✭eigrod

Sky’s coverage here is muck - missing loads because they’re showing replays.

    Bowen is such a baller.

    Incredible recovery tackle by AWB

West Ham should be out of sight here. Might regret that yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,881 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Brady, Gold & Sullivan should be ridiculed till the day they leave West Ham for sacking Moyes bringing Pellegrini in then giving him total control of the club while giving him £170m for transfers then sacking him and bringing Moyes back who played better football before and after Pellegrini.
