I had to google to find out what that meant. :)

This beautiful version of stand by me by Florence and the machine which was in Final Fantasy XV, very apt for that game.

The 3-year-old was marshalling the 1-year-old into her latest role play this morning at about 8am in the kitchen. She "phoned" him and he was supposed to be the doctor and come to help her. He waddled over to her in his usual giggle-filled persona and she hands him, in complete seriousness, a stethoscope giving him a wide array of instructions on what he should do with it as the doctor.

He giggles, and fascinated by this new thing he does what he does with every single new thing, and starts eating it (in this case, the two rubber earpieces) She goes into overdrive in the despairing bossy sister role - she's a born teacher! - and tells him he's ruining her game and storms off. He waddles after her with his two little hands out wanting to hug her as she runs away from him but he keeps waddling with his arms in front of him, giggling in between the energy he's using to follow her. She finally succumbs to him, and they have a brilliant barróg together. She's his hero, but 3-year-old girls are tough!
He adores his food, and would currently win an All-Ireland eater competition for 3-year-olds. This evening I called out from the kitchen to everybody 'Tá bhur ndinnéar ullmhaithe!' and he dropped everything and waddled ar nós na gaoithe to the kitchen before everybody else, arriving with a brilliant dimple-filled smile to book his place! Overcoming his enormous teething pain, he always manages this amazing positivity and resilience.

Happiness is a sunny Sunday after a long . cold winter and it was enjoyed and used to the full here..

    YAY!

Even ate my hot dinner outside avidly watched by dog and cats in case i dropped some,, the way their eyes followed every morsel ... Delicious cabbage and ham dinner courtesy of dunne's ..

Sat out in the sun watching the blue rippling of the ocean... did some light gardening and tidying up, pottering and puttering

Cleared space for the Easter Garden

Set seeds in small pots.. the daffs are a rich golden glory.

    Watched dog interplay with cats...

    Blissfully relaxing day .

May there be many many more such

AAAAAAAAAAND! Just gets better and better... Was tidying the kitchen while the water heated for coffee and found in date seeds in a big bag I thought was lost in the move.....YAY! Several packets, mostly perennial flowers which I love.

An unexpected royalties cheque in the post. Something from years back was added to the reading list for a college course in the UK, apparently.
I love pleasant surprises in the post.

Watching the big cat who has just come in from the rain assiduously washing, or rather drying himself off... Now his sister has joined in....so there is now a great furry heap of cats ,,

a colleague sent me an image file today called DoubleEntryShots.jpg
it's totally related to work, but I'm surprised that alarms haven't gone off in IT and my machine confiscated.

The smile a little note of thanks gives.

Mrs S sometimes knits little hats for premature babies, for use in Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Dublin and Belfast. A 'wee note' came today with a photo of a baby wearing one of her hats. Nice thought and I'll benefit from the smile it brought.

We should all make an effort to thank people. It so often is an intention that goes unfulfilled.

There's this lovely new girl at work who compliments me every day, whether it's my hair or a skirt I'm wearing or my eyelashes or whatever. Today she told me my skin was fabulous and we girly-chatted about our favourite skincare products for about an hour.

I was glowing leaving the office and it made me realise how much of a lovely, selfless and totally effortless thing it is to be that person that pays compliments to the people around them every chance they get. It's like injecting a little ray of sunshine into someone's day. I'm going to try to do that more :)

Exactly 2 years ago I was cuddling my firstborn son for the first time in the birth centre after he became the best Easter egg ever! Happy birthday little dude :)

Happy and relieved that when I steeled myself to call a garage re the car , the man was kindness itself and so helpful.

Had got very complicated here on the island so am happy indeed.

Happy i can thus rest today as I seem to be "bugged"... nasty! But snug now. Listening to occasional hail showers ..

It just gets better...I'm on roll.
Did Tax returns online Monday night just out of habit, as we had no addition medical or such to claim for 2017.
This morning I'm informed that a refund of €2004 is on its way to the bank account.

And found €40 in the pocket of a coat I put on this morning.

    Drinks are on me.

The smell of fresh cut grass, and I say that as someone with chronic asthma and bad hay-fever. It just makes me so happy! However, the thought of cutting my own grass does not make me happy.

Unexpected money is the best thing ever.

Reminds me of two years ago when I decided to open one of those dreaded HMRC letters that had been sitting on the hall table for weeks on end. A cheque for £1200 was sitting inside it! Best feeling ever :pac:

Disability allowance. I don't have any severe disability, but since I have ASD, I was able to get the DA.

came in to work to find an easter egg on my desk.

I have 95 Lindt bunnies in the boot of my car to go on people's desks this evening.

Asked my boss (joking) could I have a bottle of wine instead as I don't like chocolate and he told me to buy a bottle this evening and expense it :)

Me too! My desk drawer is full of coffee sachets liberated from my frequent hotel stays! (I go away a lot for one-night stays).

I'm staying in one tonight, as I'm going out with two of my silliest friends and it's worth it to be safe afterwards. Can't wait, I will be sore from laughter tomorrow. And a lovely big Full Irish in the morning. :)
