Looking for a good deck for card magic?

Hi Guys,

As the title says, I'm just starting on magic and I gather that you need a special type of magic card to do certain tricks.

Can you let me know the difference between the different types of playing cards, etc? Also, where in Ireland would I be able to buy things like this?

OK, first things first.

Yes , you CAN get gaffed decks.
No , you don't NEED a gaffed deck.
Bicycles are the most widely used brand among magicians. They DO NOT make the magic happen.

casinoshop.ie have a reasonable selection of decks.
lamagic.ie is an Irish online shop
alakazam.co.uk are an english website with a wide selection of magic items

If you're looking for a retail shop that stocks Bicycle decks I think "Gamers World" on jervis street have them at their counter.
