Drank between 15 to 20 cans of Beamish one night when I was 18 at a party. Had striking pains for days after it. I didn't drink stout again for about 3 years and never went back to Beamish.

A litre of blue label Smirnoff, neat.
Went on to Buck Whaleys, Leeson Street.
I saw this ugly cnut in a mirror and headbutted it - got thrown out.
That was the night I paid the taxi-man in advance, for the soilage charge.

I have no idea, but I've had a few occasions where I've drank to the point of unconsciousness and then woke up covered up in my own vomit; thanking my lucky stars that I didn't suffocate during the night.

St Stephens day and night bottle of red wine bottle of prosciutto half litre of jack daniels 8 cans of Coors two large bottles of bulmers.
Walked home and thought I rang doorbell and fell asleep in the snow at front door.
Someone rang at 2am or thereabouts and heard my phone at the front door. Had a shower with all my clothes on to warm up and practically swelled up from the change in temperature.
Woke up next morning with a sore throat.
    Could have easily died.
I'd say all the spirits stopped my blood turning to ice
    Never did that again

Very lucky op, good friend of mine died of hypothermia when he was just 16 in lot less harsh conditions with drink. Reckon he tried to go through land he didn't know as a shortcut, not sure as to what happened but could have got lost/confused ended up in a lost life over something so avoidable!
Always in the back of my head when I'm outside with drink (don't let yourself fall asleep outside).

Cut back a lot now, the anxiety I get for days after drinking 12 pints or more is not worth it. Looking out the windows for snipers, trying to remember who did I offend, been barely able to string a sentence together in work for days, rats nibilling at my feet, been up all night Sunday and Monday been unable to sleep. If I could just stick to the Six pints and I get no hangover but never happens

All day session many years ago ...drank 17 pints out and 3/4 of a bottle of whiskey after at a house party. Definitely didn’t feel right for near a week.
Drink very little now as the hangovers were taking two days to get over and with kids at home hangovers are definitely not worth it.
To be honest I don’t miss it at all ..

When are was about 21 myself and my mate sat down with 4 bottles of vodka and finished the lot. Only took about 6 hours. It possible I've drank more than that in one sitting but as others have alluded too there'd be no way of knowing /counting. I lived in Asia for 10 years and the expat drinking culture is ridiculous. I'm sure the above amount would have been exceeded on some 3 day benders.

Don't drink as much now as Im 40 and be dead!

How do people keep such a precise count on how many drinks they've consumed when they would be completely hammered because of it?

I remember a man who drank large bottles of stout.
When they were 99p he used to put the penny change in his top pocket and in the morning he knew exactly what he had drunk.

I’m not a “ drinker “ but the most I drank in a time frame was 5 bottles of red wine in about 2 hours.

I don’t know if that’s much to regular drinkers

    Stocious? Pffft.
Considering for every hour you drink a 1/2 pint goes out of your system

The times I've got heavily on it, I'd easily lose track so i can't say definitively. I reckon I have probably got to about fifteen pints of lager at some point.

16 pints of lager when I was 17, we got a good seat at a bar on paddys day and didn't move.

I've probably been more drunk on many occasions as mixing drinks always left me in a bad share, but for quantity that is remembered, 16 pints is the number.

Have had many a night of emotional drunkenness due too too much drink. Used too have pints than move onto the spirits. Generally drink about 7-8 pints when I'm out and then sometimes I might have a vodka and mixer or 2

I love the buzz of drinking esp with a match and good music but the €€€ adds up and then your fitness and head levels would be all over the place

Love and hate paddys weekend but hoping too have a decent one. Last year I was a wreck by 8pm on paddys days as we won the grand slam that day and can't remember what happened

Mixed drink and a certain snow coloured thing and never again. How I didn't choke on my own vomit that night I don't knw. Could barely walk

Saw a lad sink a pint of straight Cork Dry Gin in one go in a former local of mine. He was found out in the pub's car park an hour later trying to break into cars with a folded up beer mat.

Once over 4 hours I drank a pint of Guinness, a naggin of Smirmoff and a bottle of Smirnoff Blue. When I drank the Smirnoff blue I poured a quarter of the bottle in a glass and a very brief splash of coke. I would then down this in one go and I did this every 30 minutes. I ended up with a bad dose of Smirnoff flu and 23 years later I can barely drink Vodka.

12 pints Guinness and a few Jameson & Ginger ale the day after a wedding over a 10 hr period. Stomach was in bits the next day.

Five bottles of red wine one Christmas day from about noon till two ish Stephens morning.
Two bottles of whiskey one new years eve, slept for 13 hours and woke up fresh whatever was going on.
Pints and half ones I wouldn't be able to keep track of, and if there was pills or powders involved it could go on for a couple of days.

At a house party in college, I saw a guy drink a whole bottle of buckfast in about 10 seconds. He poured it in 2 goes in a pint glass and knocked it back.

He went crazy for about 20 minutes and then passed out.

Over the course of a long weekend a Canadian fella drank 90 cans of Budweiser in a local pub in the town where I come from. I know it sounds bull but this was witnessed by plenty of people and the barman was by no means a bull**iter.
He was big bloke and he downed 30 cans a day for 3 days and he was drinking cans of it because the pub didn't have Budweiser on tap so the barman kept a count on what yer man was drinking.

In my slightly younger days there have been many regular weekends of drinking and debauchery (not as much any more). I'm not sure which one was the most though: Easter Sunday last year for the whole evening sinking pints (bizarrely not much of a hangover), at a good friends house starting off on cans of Guinness at the kitchen table working our way to the spirits (there was an almighty hangover from that!), a night out in Castlepollard where I got too generous with brandy and port for myself until I passed out circa 3am (hold the excitement) or when I had just turned 18 a few weeks prior I got absolutely crooked and ended up puking into someones handbag (not my proudest moment :o)

    Probably more I genuinely can't remember :o

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,164 ✭✭✭Bigbagofcans

Can't remember, it's been that many.

I can remember recently how much I drank at a wedding I was at:

    3 glasses of prosecco
    2 glasses of wine
    5 G&Ts
    4 shots
