How many tabs do you have open?

At this moment in time I have 23 tabs in my browser.

3 of these are boards.ie forums that I like to check every few hours so I don't bother closing them, just refreshing.
2 more tabs fall into the same category.
3 more are boards threads that I read a lot but there are so many pages I just leave the page I'm on open and start from there again.
4 more tabs are just like this.
2 of them are online games I play.
1 is bet365 and 1 is oddschecker.com and 2 more are horse racing websites.
1 is about GMIT and 1 is about looking to go back to college.
3 are Youtube videos.

Most of my mates in college used to give out to me, it would get on their nerves just seeing that many tabs open. My girlfriend goes mad, even on my phone at the minute I have 30 tabs. I've been the same since I was 14/15, loads of tabs open, after a while I'll get back down to 4/5 and it'll all start again.

Soooo... Really I'm just wondering... Is there many people like this or are we just a massive minority which is what my limited knowledge says. How many tabs do you usually have in your browser?

Currently 18. I've been known to get to over 60. When that happens, I paste any that I want to keep into an email thread I have going with myself and close them down. That way I haven't lost them but they're not open and slowing things down. I rarely revisit the email thread.

5-6 regular ones at a minimium if I start a new window.

I have one open at the moment.

I've noticed recently that when you get to a certain number of tabs in Chrome it's almost impossible to navigate through them without shutting them down. The tabs shrink and the X to close them is right in the middle. It's extremely difficult to avoid clicking the X when going to an open tab. I think this happens when you get to around 25 tabs.

I used to use netvibes or similar type of dashboard thing. Not sure if boards has an rss feed. Was kinda handy for keeping track of everything all in one place.

Oh, and I miss usenet (yeah, I'm old).

Web based forums suck. Come back 1996.

If you like having loads of tabs open get the great suspender extension for chrome. (probably available for Firefox as well)

After a while it'll suspend those open tabs so they aren't using resources when you aren't using them and you can still come back to them later on.
