Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Morning,

This was from Hotdeals a while ago but the price has gone down again.

This is good for a 27" monitor if you only want 1080p.60hz 5ms. Which is good enough for most gamers. Has free delivery as well.

    Dan.

Good deal. Seems ridiculous that the speakers add another £114

Great screens. I have the 24" version for a few years.
    This is definitely a bargain.
Coming in at €120.46 for me due to vat registration.

:D Of course....but any personal stuff I buy on Amazon I pay with a personal card. Amazon doesn't care about the payment method as long as the VAT number is valid.

If you were using this, say, to play video, presumably you'd be able to use the audio out to connect to a speaker?

You would just connect your speakers or headset to the PC as normal.

If it was for PS4 / XBOX then i'm not sure as I use headphones when I play at my PC monitor.

No, I was thinking more of a Chromecast or Raspberry Pi. I think it'd be fine.

With a 2 month delivery and reviews on HotUKDeals saying text is blurry on it, I think I'll pass

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,077 ✭✭✭cfeeneyinterior

Have one on order, arriving 7th-14th september. Just read the Hukd reviews. Think Ill let it come, if it is not up to it ill send it back....

edit. Read more reviews - cancelled

  • Registered Users Posts: 258 ✭✭Flashdan

I read the HDUK reviews and they said it was bad

The rest say it is good, For what I said it was good for.

Amazon have 4 stars on 125 reviews.

Don't worry about the moaning English a$$holes on HDUK (I know how they can be as I am one) you could put up a Lambo on HDUK for 10 Pounds and they would moan about the fact it has Bridgestone tyres and not Pirelli's

Blurry text can be down to user setting, monitor I'm using now had brutal text out of the box until I changed the settings and crystal clear now

I was looking to get it for graphic design. I realise it would not be up to the task of professional standards but currently using a laptop screen. I cancelled but now thinking of ordering again....
Would it be suitable as essentially a large desktop monitor or is it more geared for gaming?

I have one ordered and will be using it as a work monitor

What's with the long term delivery times? Showing up as 30-60 days.
Although Amazon has already debited my card, which they normally only do at shipping time.

My estimated delivery is 14th of September but checking tracking it arrived in Dublin parcel facility last night so I guess it'll take another 8 days to deliver even though its in Ireland? Guess something to do with size of the package.

I ordered at start of week and estimated delivery was changed from Sept 17 to tomorrow. I'd say if it's in Dublin office you'll get it soon too, either tomorrow or Monday I'd imagine.

What was your actual dispatch day? I think I ordered on Monday, with dispatch yesterday.

I'm mainly going to use it for Xbox and an external monitor for my laptop, so hoping it's fine for that. Should be an improvement on my cheap 24" monitor anyway.

Will you be using it as a monitor? If so, do let us know if there's a blurriness issue and at what resolution you're using it, please.

Dispatch was Tuesday for me same day I ordered it.

I am using it as a monitor yeah, using 1080p full resolution and nope I don't notice any blurriness issue at all. Text looks clear to me, I'm, trying to spot said blurriness but having a hard time doing so, looks clear to me!

Very happy with monitor thus far. Just out of the box everything on the screen looks fine with me didnt mess with settings I turned on the Samsung magic upscale and the picture does look marginally better for me. Videos all looked perfect, no eye strain as far as I can tell, gaming is all good as well you can mess around with settings to put response time to fastest for best result.

So anyway happy enough with purchase time will tell but I'd recommend it but I'm no expert, will probably still use my 4 year old Asus monitor 27' but this samsung one seems to have better colour brightness etc. Thanks OP!

Black one is what I got. The monitor stand was a bit awkward to get it to click in.

I had cancelled my order and then reordered yesterday. Delivery was showing Sept 10 - Nov 12. But it's been updated now with 10-18 Sept.... Anyone else get theirs?

Mine arrived this morning, which was the original delivery date before they moved it to Monday. Tracking hadn't updated since Wednesday night.

Overall, really pleased with it. Assembly took about 1 minute, colours much richer and blacks a lot blacker than my old monitor. No signs of blurriness either.

Got mine on Friday. Was hoping for a silver one but it's black. Anyone know how to turn it off so that the little blue light turns off?

There is an option in the setting menu to turn it off while it's on or on standby...

Just set it up after coming this morning. Text looks fine to me. I think it's well worth it. Coming from a 15" laptop the screen is a vast improvement.havent and don't play any games so wouldn't know about that aspect . I cancelled and reordered, glad I did.

I'll add that screen is absolutely perfect - no text blurring whatsoever so no idea why people are saying that - perhaps they just got a dodgy one.

Mine arrived and it is great, no problems at all. I think the default brightness was a bit high but apart from that, great.

My friend ordered one and it said 1-2 months delivery. He got it in a week. He also thinks its a really good screen.

Anyone using it as a monitor? Is the text too big given its such a large screen with FHD resolution?

I use it as a work monitor. I've been using a 27 inch Philips for a few years and it's the exact same as that. Not sure what you'd define as 'too big'. I sometimes zoom out on Excel to get more into the screen

Must be fine so. I'm tempted to get one. Great price.

Mine is used for HD gaming, and its great. If you had a amazing PC gamer setup then you would want 144mhz 4k etc

I still want to buy one for me as I gave the one i got to my wife.
