Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Six foot six he stood on the ground
He weighed two hundred and thirty-five pounds
But I saw that giant of a man brought down to his knees by love
He was the kind of man who would gamble on luck
Look you in the eye and never back up
But I saw him crying like a little whipped pup because of love

    You to me
Are sweet as roses in the morning
    And you to me
Are soft as summer rain at dawn,in love we share
    That something rare
    The sidewalks in the street

Now I lost my Saint Christopher now that I've kissed her

Anyway for all the things you said...tell me why does the river run red
Anyway for all the things you've seen...tell me when will the river run green
And anyway for all the things you know.... tell me why does the river not flow

You come home late and you come home early
You come on big when you're feelin' small
You come home straight and you home curly
Sometimes you just don't come home at all

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?"

Well we know where we're goin'
But we don't know where we've been

    The time has come
    To say fair's fair
    To pay the rent
    To pay our share

    Mozambique and Mugabe
Still got FRELIMO I hear them say
    But exchange means
    Recession means
It all means it's harder to take

    Now the party's over
    I'm so tired
    Then I see you coming
    Out of nowhere

I am not allowed discuss …

Oh one by one she had to tell them
That her name was Joan of Arc.

At the age of sixteen years
Oh, he quarrels with his peers
Who vowed they'd never see another one
In the dark recess of the mines
Where you age before your time
And the coal dust lies heavy on your lungs

    You with the sad eyes,
    Don't be discouraged
Oh I realise, it's hard to take courage
In a world full of people you can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you can make you feel so small

    Have you ever loved someone?
    Just as I love you.

    Can't you see I'm sorry
    For each mistake I've made?
Can't you see I've changed dear
    Can't you see I've paid?

I always preferred that song to Baker St.

Until carrying out my research today I always thought the woman in the song lyric below was Mrs Avria.

And the operator says forty cents more for the next. . . three minutes
Please Mrs. Avery, I just gotta talk to her,
I'll only keep her a while
Please Mrs. Avery, I just wanna tell her goodbye

And now I've got an ear worm.

Without doubt it's the better song, no interest in my Sique Sique Sputnik though... Misspent youth I suppose.

    You know
Sometimes she'd come home so depressed
I'd hear her crying in the back room
    Feel so distressed.

Some say love,it is a river, that drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor, that leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love,it is a hunger,an endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower, and you,it's only seed.
