Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm heading there myself, Frampton's fight likely won't be very competitive (barring a dreadful performance), but still very excited for this.

    Sound...

I’ll let Deontay know you’re on the way..

The lack of media coverage for this is amazing. MTK are doing their fighters no favours with this media ban. Should be all over the papers today but absolutely nothing.

How do people think Paddy Barnes gets on? Extremely tough task I think. Reckon he might get stopped late. His gas tank hasn't looked the best in the pros. Hope I'm wrong.

One of the stranger boxing related headlines I've ever seen. Seems like Billy Joe called Deontay a racist c**t a while back and Wilder called him out on it last night in Nando's. Chaos ensued!

Seriously rooting for Paddy in this one but he has it all to do. I expect it to be a very scrappy affair until rounds 4/5 then I think he will struggle and possibly get stopped in the later rounds, as the poster above has said. I really hope I am wrong though.

I’d be very surprised if Barnes makes the final bell...Rosales is nothing special, but he’s going to be too good for Barnes. Youth, size and enough power to be too dominant for Barnes.

Hope it's a good night for those attending. Atmosphere should be electric.

Paddy's fight is about to start.

Barnes walking in to the ring now. Optics aren't great, the stadium looks empty enough. Few people walking round, no big atmosphere. Looks like the afters of a wedding at about 2AM

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,802 ✭✭✭Rezident

Champion is only 23. Might put a sneaky bet on Barnes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

I thought Paddy Barnes looked very nervous at the press conference. I've seen men going to the gallows that looked more confident. Here we go. DING DING! Round 1 Paddy Barnes vs Rosales

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,619 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Barnes looks too small...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

"The cleaner shots were from Barnes".

lol. At least a 10-9 to Rosales. Could be a long night for Paddy.

    1/66 combined odds for Fury/Frampton.

    Should be two epic contests.

What time is fury ring entrance?

Well he is called the leprechaun! :pac:

Out of his dept here I'd say.

Love to see Barnes do it but struggling here a bit. Getting into a scrap should suit Rosales more

These cards are pathetic when you consider expected one sided nature of main events. Just stepping stones. Any lack of media coverage due to this as much as MKT dispute

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,752 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    Rosales looks bigger and stronger.

Odd tactics by Paddy but he's not shying away anyway.

Barnes with 32 red as his sponsor I see, the leprechaun shorts...

Sky could hype the shyte out of a card as bad as this!

Bizarrely he won the first two rounds according to Barrys card. Fair play for lugging it out but dunno if this is the right road to take

Barnes with bit size and power would be clearly superior..

No surprise as Rosales did look stronger and bigger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Rosales wins from the body shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,025 ✭✭✭duffman13

    Some hit there!

Jesus that was quick. What was that a body shot?

They need to put absolute certs in there for a good few fights before a big fight is made. Fury especially, he'll fight AJ or Wilder soon, after he is certain his ringrust has gone. He doesn't strike me as someone who is keen on fighting in Belfast against a nobody.

TJ Doheny's title win, anyone see it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

    Jaysus, Fury is some unit.

Rich Woodall is stiff, and Bunce is annoying, but I love David Haye on punditry - he's passionate and calls it like it is.

    137 losses.

Haye is full of crap and hyperbole.

Looks like Joe Joyce has left him too.

Its probably the moveable fight, the one that fits in after an early stoppage, otherwise goes on last.

I'm only reading about that now. He's interviewed on IFL about joining up with Al Hayman. May watch it later.

I don't blame Joyce. Haye was embarrassing as a promoter at times. When he confronted Chisora about fighting Joyce at ringside after a Chisora fight I remember him making a tit of himself with Joyce in toe.
As always, instead of looking after his own man he resorted to talking about himself.

Fairly dull fight. Don't think I've ever seen a fighter with a 137 losses before.
