i picked up the new lf170 on saturday with battery pack on belt

I was going to get the tracer 170 but when i was in the shop he was showing me the new Lf170 with new dimmer switch because it was the first one he sold i got a good price on it so i couldnt refuse

went out last nite and it was the first nite ever i went out and could see anything i wanted to some serious light out of this yoke even with the red filter but serious light in all dimmer switch very handy and easy to use just to buttons at your thumb a plus power and one for minus power

i was out from 20:00 to 00:30 and the light was every bit as strong as when i went out

but i got noting didnt even see a bunny i was sick

It's handy if you are mounting on the scope. Although LF scope mounts are over-priced crap

The LF are a great lamp but I think the biggest issue folks have with them is the wiring. It is a major weakness in the lamp and I cant understand why LF have never addressed this. The wiring where it goes into the handle is a weak point as well as the soldered points on the cigarette connector.

And the cable used is not heavy enough.

as i said mine is knew so little use

but one thing i found last nite that the connect for the fag lighter isnt to tight in the battery pack but the prob with the wiring at the handle i just might be proactive and see if i can do anything

as for cable i thought it was heavy enough but it is the new lf since deban stoped doing the dimmers for them
