Hi all. Was thinkin of buyin a new gun light to lamp old charlie on my own a bit. Have been lookin around and have possibly settled on Debens Tracer Tri Star Pro. Was wonderin if any of you guys had tried it and what is its range really like and if anyone had any opinions on it good or bad. Makers claim all kinds of daft ranges. I need at least 250 mts of shootable light. Thanks in advance folks.

i bought one and was very happy with it, the dimmer has went faulty on it and sometimes it wont either switch on of wont switch off, i've to send it back but never got round to it,
i can make out posts on a fence out to 175 yards with the naked eye no bother, never try'd to see how far i'd see through a scope but it can make eye's no problem to 250, if you want any more info give me a shout and i'll try explain things better

thanks yog1. is it easy to mount and dismount from the scope. seems to be some kind of clip.

it comes with 2 ring's like you mount a scope with (one 25mm and one 30mm) and a plastic clip that you push on and pull off, (25mm also i think) like a spring clip,
didn't like the plastic clip as i had visions of it putting the scope off zero, or breaking off, also it was a bugger to remove the lamp once it was attached so you had to pull like hell to get it off the scope first then remove the clip from the lamp.
i have the 25mm ring mounted on the fox gun and with the aid of some insulation tape mounted the 30mm clip on the rabbit gun, (both my scopes are 25mm tubes)
the way the lamp mounts to these rings is similar to the weaver mounts http://www.geniestuff.co.uk/weaver-mounts.htm and it was only a matter of slacking a screw on the side and the lamp came off very easy, you have to be careful as not to loss the screw or have the clamp part of mount turn upside down as the lamp wouldn't tighten properly,
other than that i found it a good way of mounting the lamp, had visions of the lamp not pointing where the scope was but have to admit it's bang on and as of yet never needed any adjustment and its off and on fairly often as i don't store it mounted to any of the guns
hope this all makes sense :o
