Retro looking pieces ?

Fossil did a few great looking retro style watches which seem to be all discontinued now such as the CH2982 and CH2984. Sadly they are hard to come by. Anything else out there with a unique retro look for in around the €150 mark?

I fancy ordering a couple of Vostoks, what is the script there? Do you just need to order away on eBay and trust the Russians to deliver within 3 months?

Meranom.com is the best seller to buy a Vostok from. 4 weeks delivery to Ireland with tracking number. Typically 2 weeks moving from the Vostok factory in Chistopol to clearing customs at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow; then another 2 weeks to clear customs in Portlaoise and be delivered by An Post. Dmitry (Meranom) is a great guy to deal with, and always replies to emails promptly. Some models are cheaper buying from other sellers on Ebay, but the delivery can be less reliable; as they take longer to post the piece.

At the 150 Euro price tier the Seiko 5 range are good value/quality pieces.
Have a look on Amazon.co.uk, some great bargains to be had.

I like the look of the Vostok military vintages on eBay as something unusual to wear from time to time. Anyone any experience of them? For €50 or thereabouts they worth a punt?

Yes they are excellent pieces for the money. The early ones are often 2414 or 2209, 17 or 18 jewel manual wind movements. But the later ones often have 2415b 31 jewel automatic movements which are very good. Be careful of Chinese fakes on Ebay. And also fake dial ones coming from Ukraine looking brand new when they are supposed to have been refurbished vintage ones. There are some great bargains to be had on 1960's and 1970's versions though, so it's worth bidding on some until you get lucky. Polywatch is also good for removing scratches from their lucite (acrylic) domed crystals.

This is above your 150 budget at 400 USD (340 Euro).
But if you like unique retro looking pieces it may appeal to you?
I just saw the review video on the Urban Gentry channel, and concur with TGV that it looks an excellent value/quality piece for the money. The Seiko NH37A movement is a well-proven reliable and accurate movement (hand-windable, hacking variation of the widely popular caliber NH35A).
