Just on a side note, you get the same 50% discount for Apple Music as well, which brings down the subscription to €4.99.

Haven't used it myself.. But assuming if you follow this link - https://www.spotify.com/ie/student/ it will ask you to log into your college account to validate it and then should apply the discount.

Just did it, very easy, you literally just get brought to a sign-in page where you have to enter your college ID and password, and that's it.

I'm only a part-time postgrad online student but no issues.

I have Spotify premium via my billpay Vodafone account and it is not letting me apply the student rate. :-(

you're already getting at a discount then?

I switched from paying via Vodafone to a family account, I had to cancel the Vodafone premium first (which changes your account to a free one) and then sign up for the family plan.

Don't think so. AFAIR Vodafone charge €9.99 p/m on your billpay account. Might be wrong on that though. Must investigate further.

Quick question on this, when i click through to register and login via facebook it asks me for card details for payment, as in its not registering that i already am a premium user.

Is this normal? If i input the card details does it just kick in when the current premium month ends?

If you have Vodafone prepay, you can get Spotify for €5/month in the My Vodafone app. You don't need to be a student.
Turn off Wi-Fi on your phone - It needs to be on Vodafone 3G/4G data to buy the add-on.

Go into the My Vodafone App, then go into the 'Add ons' menu on the left.

Touch 'Buy an add on' and scroll to the bottom:

Once the add-on is purchased, you can turn on the phone's Wi-Fi again.

Although it says this says it is for mobile phone use only, the Spotify premium add-on is fully functional like the €9.99 subscription based on my usage. For example, my account gives me premium access on Spotify for Windows and my Kindle Fire, including offline playback.

Edit: Sorry, I misread your post. Going by Vodafone website, Spotify Premium is €5.99/month on Bill Pay.
