    What difference does it make? Do you get more cookies at the end of the week or something? Does the person with the most thanks get elected Taoiseach? Do you get to be named the "Most Thanked Boardsie" with your own float in the St. Patrick's Day Parade? If that's all it takes to make someone happy... FFS. :D

    Sometimes people in the Prison forum use the number of Thanks they get as a reason to be allowed off with whatever landed them in the prison forum in the first place. If you had a self-thanks feature, reckon you'd have to subtract the number of self-thanks from your final score?

    Also, no. Plus, there'd be the accidental self-thanking when you scroll downwards on a phone and then the slagging.

    You would be only able to thank your post once. And, indeed, have the option to unthank.

    i dont agree with thanking own posts but i do believe that double thanks status should be given as an option to father ted references :D
