Stihl 039 saw , max bar lenght?

    Hi All ,

    I've an old Stihl 039 with an 18" bar. I'm looking to put a 24" bar on it but cant seem to find a genuine stihl one to fit .

    Is that because the 24" would be too big for my saw to handle?

    I have some bigger wood to cut this summer and the bigger bar would help.

    Any suggestion on if its too big to go or if not where can I get a 24" bar for my saw. I'd prefer to stick to genuine stihl but if anybody has good experience with alternate makes i'd be intersted to know.
