One thing that I do like is that we'll have one of the nXt call-up teams be #1 contenders so quickly. Feels like it'll probably be the Vaudevillians, while Enzo and Cass feud for a while with the Dudleys.

It'll be around November time. Usually 2-3 weeks before Survivor Series.

With the network special taking place on the 7th September in the 02 arena London. Possibly getting rid of the November Euro tour ??

Enjoying their post-WM holiday they seem to take each year. They are set to return shortly to set up an Authority Vs. Shane McMahon angle.

I read on PWTorch that they're set to have Shane go over and write off the Authority and finish that angle but not too long ago the Torch also reported that Shane had only signed a 3 month contract and was set to lose at WM and leave in April.

Yeah I was reading that as well, apparently this Triple H & Stephanie McMahon vs. Shane McMahon is going to put an end to the concept of The Authority on WWE television for the foreseeable future. There's not really much need for it at this stage. They're gone off of T.V.

Enjoyed that. Was a super solid episode, some great in ring action, CLEAN finishes. Good PPV build. The Styles/Bullet Club/Reigns segments did a great job of setting up a story that could go in any direction.

Also got a chuckle from James Corden's parents being focused on, given I know them from League of their Own and The Late Late Show with James Corden. They've done segments for the latter in the past where they interviewed NFL stars, so I'm presuming they were there filming a segment for the show, and thats part of why they got called out. Should be funny.

    (Am I doing it right?)

I like that line in bold. It gets the crowd saying it with them which is what every star(s) need.

The Roman Reigns line however, it worked once. I thought when he said it first it set a good tone. However, now it's just irritating that he opens up every segment with it.

What would work is if he said 'I'm the guy', and even then he should throw it in during an exchange with someone to remind them who he is, similar to how Punk would say 'I'm the best wrestler in the world' or Cena would say 'Any new talent wanting to make their mark comes through me' (or whatever his line is).

WWE should turn him. He's got so much heat it makes sense.

Thought it was a good Raw. They're centreing most of the show around people that the crowd has an interest in. Ambrose, Styles, Zayn, Cesaro, Owens, Enzo and Cass plus the other NXT callups.

I mean sure Reigns is still champion. But he isn't dominating the show like he used to and the likes of Big Show, Authority, Kane, Ryback nowhere to be seen.

This isn't gonna last too long so enjoy it while it lasts.

It strikes me that Reigns IS turning heel; just slowly. The over-repetition of that line, the "I'd rather have the title than be liked" line, his entire mannerisms. It strikes me they've decided to slowly turn him, rather than a "Turns in one segment" story.

I wouldn't be at all shocked if they run the story of Gallows and Anderson being his new henchmen, and that this weeks attack was to throw AJ off. And have the main event of the PPV end with Gallows and Anderson teasing helping AJ before aligning with Reigns.

So they/Reigns seems to have changed the line already. It originally started with "I'm not a bad guy" since it was to address the boos and now it started with "I'm not a good guy".

Big change in women's division when the entrances last longer than match and entrance combined used to last.

The Gallows/Anderson aligning against Styles idea would've been real neat if Seth was still Champ, have the old Shield teaming with AJ in a nice little betrayer vs betrayed setup.

I haven't been around much lately but this New Day thing is going right over my head (literally).

Happy to see them get the chance and obviously Vince and much of the crowd love it but it's everything I hate about sport entertainment.

Another solid enough show with the new guys still looking strong. Can see Big Cass being around for a long time. Even Corbin is looking surprisingly good.

Vince must be the joke writer as every single bad WWE attempt at humour sounds like it was written by the same person.

Payback on paper looks like a much better show than usual. Things still looking positive moving forward.

Wishful thinking but I'm starting to think how cool it'd be Anderson and Gallows cost Reigns the title and try to celebrate with AJ refuses and the lights go out. Balor in the ring when the lights go back on with guns pointing at AJ, they all beat down AJ and Reigns when he tried to help and we have the return of the Bullet Club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Surely the arrival of Finn Bálor must be imminent. I'm guessing A.J Styles refuses the help of the Bullet Club and they say screw you we have our original president back with us now. What harm if he still has the NXT Championship when he comes up, so did Seth Rollins.

I bloody well hope not. Gallows and Anderson shouldn't be underlings to that tosspot.

Shield 2.0 featuring the Bullet Club.

    Christ they'd ruin anything :D

Putting machine gun and gallows with either AJ or Balor makes sence so I fully expect them too shoehorn them into been Reigns body Gards who will get beat down every week by whoever Reigns is fielding with and I bet he escapes everyweek untouched!

Well judging by how he was walking backstage after being attacked in the ring, you wouldn't have known he was just jumped by 2 guys. Seemed fine.

The nature of Tag Teams, especially in stables, is they'll always be just under a "top guy". Putting them with AJ or Finn would see them probably cheered by smarks, even if WWE are pushing them as heels (and they are clearly being pushed as heels).

Reigns, Gallows and Anderson could actually be a really great heel group at the top of the card, and would open up a tonne of stories; AJ betrayed by friends, Finn coming up to confront his friends. What about Ambrose, seeing his friend form this new heel group? Rollins as a babyface would have an instant story to return to with the right dynamics. Cena would obviously be another foil to confront them.

Personally, I think Reigns/Gallows/Anderson, from a narrative point of view, gives the most options and gives the trio a load of heat as well.

Dean Ambrose should be the next one to feud with Roman Reigns I think. Suddenly since February this whole brotherhood thing seems to have just been dropped. I know they present him as being carefree even when things don't go his way but it would add a nice bit of character if he confronted Roman Reigns and pointed the finger at him saying that he basically stepped on him on his way up and that if he hadn't spent so much time around him in The Shield he wouldn't be where he is now. Although that would make Ambrose the martyr.

Meant to say, there was a lot of Titus this week

I was at Smackdown, they have Titus / Nattie running a give up smoking promotional thing too.

Recorded the live Raw Monday night and when I watched it back Sky kept missing the cue's too go too add breaks and showed some of the American adds from the live feed. I was wondering what the Titus Nattie bit was

I'm guessing 'Machine Gun' is not PG enough for WWE but why is Gallows not Doc? Too similar to TNA?

He was Luke Gallows last time he was in WWE, so I guess they figured they'd maintain the continuity of his character a bit and keep it that way.
