Is there a modern version of Denso tape?

I've a few bits of exposed copper gas piping on our static caravan and I'd like to protect the copper from the elements including salt spray from the sea. I used Denso tape years ago and it was always sticky horrible messy stuff (in my hands anyway) and just wondered if there is a modern version or a better way to protect exposed copper?

I don't know if there is anything similar to replace but I'm sure you can still get Denzo. It's a few years since I used it for a similar job on Galvanised GB.
As an alternative why not get a piece of Insulated copper and remove the Insulation. Then secure it to the Gas pipe using clear Silicone which seems to stick better than White. Then maybe tape both ends to prevent Water ingress.

    Denso tape is still available.
Messy as it is, I would imagine it would be a more straightforward and cheaper job than buying wiku pipe then stripping it just for the plastic.
A roll of denso, pair of disposable gloves and a fresh stanley blade and you're done.

Denso it is then. I'd toyed with the idea of self amalgamating tape but I know Denso tape will stick and do the job.
