Good on ye, Gopperth. Happy for him.

That was great. Did anyone else see Campagnaro push his own teammate over to create the space for Piutau? Gonna be some serious tension in the locker room.

    Gutted for Exeter...

I decided to just not bother watching the second half - I was sure Exeter would win. Delighted for Gopperth. We gave out about him in Leinster, but we were bloody glad of him on many occasions.

Just saw highlights of Halai's try. IBF would have been delighted by that rugged NH-style Exeter defence :p

Maybe that's the sacrifice for having the SH players in both sides: tries but missed tackles...

Ian Keatley seems to be taking kicks for Northampton today. :(

Northampton will be kicking themselves they're not on at least 11 points at this stage.

If SJ says it, it must be true. One of the most impartial and respected journalists around.

You're not SJ are you IBF?

The irony in all this of course is that all Wasps points came from Kiwis.

Yes, but was all the tackling from Europeans?

Yes, but was all the tackling from Europeans?

Of course! The Kiwis shunned any form of defence, and were hidden out of the defensive line in a coaching masterclass.

But despite the heroic and quite frankly out-of-this world tackling from the NH players, the Kiwis still managed to cross the chalk one, tow, three, four, five times.

I'm just messing. It is damn ironic though the Jones byline, given the points sheet.

He's got his little SH rugby dig in, which means something anti-Irish is definitely next up for Stephen...

I'd bet if anyone points out where Wasps points came from, a twitter ban would ensue. I don't use twitter.

To be fair, the real mental stuff for Halai's try was Elliot Daly picking the ball up on his own dead ball and running out almost 70 metres! He's a great player to watch.

thats insanity. garces should have stopped that, imagine if that player had a serious injury

    Ah Ashton, you prat!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,487 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Great line from Ashton, then almost cocks it up by doing his stupid swan dive and giving the cover a chance to possibly knock it from his grasp. I doubt the coach would be too happy.

    What a line from Ashton.

Hard ending for Northampton to take after looking good for so long but Saracens deserved it. Their fitness and hunger is on another level and it really told in the last 30 minutes. They should have been ahead earlier.

Feel sorry for Hanrahan, was trying to keep the ball moving when they had to go from their own 22. Won't have helped his case for inclusion in future though.

Fcuking Saracens. I want to vomit.

It's bad enough that the European competition is dominated by English and French teams now but does it have to be the unlikable teams too :(

they are unliked cos they have the money. which buys the players to make them unliked.

Hopefully Toulon will be their comeuppance against the paupers of Racing.

Freddie Burns with an intercept 7 pointer just before half time. Game is done and dusted. 24-6 at half time.

Hugely successful campaign for English sides this season. Whilst money is a huge factor, the likes of Leicester don't have a star studded line up out there. Only Ayerza (wasn't a big name when signed) and Cole (through their academy) are internationally capped in their pack today.

They've recruited really well, I have to say.

I know they're a long way back but I think it's crazy for Stade to be declining kicks at goal with 42 mins remaining. Go to touch, lose the lineout, end up with nothing.

Given the success of islanders in the UK, it's a wonder as to why Irish provinces haven't really tapped them up for NIQ spots. Leicester have 3 island born players starting in their back line today and all have looked very dangerous, having a big impact on the game. Stade have another starter in Nayacalevu.

Off the top of my head, there isn't a single island born player currently at an Irish province. I understand they can be viewed as volatile, risky signings who might struggle to settle into life here but given some of the success stories across the water, I'm surprised we haven't brought a few in.
