      I decided to just not bother watching the second half - I was sure Exeter would win. Delighted for Gopperth. We gave out about him in Leinster, but we were bloody glad of him on many occasions.

      Just saw highlights of Halai's try. IBF would have been delighted by that rugged NH-style Exeter defence :p

      Maybe that's the sacrifice for having the SH players in both sides: tries but missed tackles...

      To be fair, the real mental stuff for Halai's try was Elliot Daly picking the ball up on his own dead ball and running out almost 70 metres! He's a great player to watch.

      Great line from Ashton, then almost cocks it up by doing his stupid swan dive and giving the cover a chance to possibly knock it from his grasp. I doubt the coach would be too happy.

      Hard ending for Northampton to take after looking good for so long but Saracens deserved it. Their fitness and hunger is on another level and it really told in the last 30 minutes. They should have been ahead earlier.

      Feel sorry for Hanrahan, was trying to keep the ball moving when they had to go from their own 22. Won't have helped his case for inclusion in future though.

      they are unliked cos they have the money. which buys the players to make them unliked.

      Freddie Burns with an intercept 7 pointer just before half time. Game is done and dusted. 24-6 at half time.

      Hugely successful campaign for English sides this season. Whilst money is a huge factor, the likes of Leicester don't have a star studded line up out there. Only Ayerza (wasn't a big name when signed) and Cole (through their academy) are internationally capped in their pack today.

      They've recruited really well, I have to say.

      I know they're a long way back but I think it's crazy for Stade to be declining kicks at goal with 42 mins remaining. Go to touch, lose the lineout, end up with nothing.

      Given the success of islanders in the UK, it's a wonder as to why Irish provinces haven't really tapped them up for NIQ spots. Leicester have 3 island born players starting in their back line today and all have looked very dangerous, having a big impact on the game. Stade have another starter in Nayacalevu.

      Off the top of my head, there isn't a single island born player currently at an Irish province. I understand they can be viewed as volatile, risky signings who might struggle to settle into life here but given some of the success stories across the water, I'm surprised we haven't brought a few in.
